Notched 49 appearances with 45 starts split between catcher (35) and designated player (10) … LSU won eight of 10 contests when Houston was the designated player … Teamed with Morgan Russell to limit opponents to 51 stolen bases and throw out 13 runners from the catcher position … Upped her average to .246 (29-for-118) with two home runs and 13 RBIs … One of seven Tigers to record double digit RBIs … Hit-by-pitch 20 times, good enough for second on the team and in the SEC … Posted four of her six multi-hit efforts during month of February … Went 2-for-2 and set a career-high with three RBIs against Louisiana Tech (Feb. 13) … Cranked a three-run dinger as part of LSU’s eight run fifth-inning during an 11-2 triumph over Nicholls State (Feb. 19) … Was 2-for-4 with two RBIs versus Cal Poly (Feb. 27) … Turned in 2-for-4 effort against Hofstra (March 4) during Yvette Girouard‘s 500th win at LSU … Went 2-for-2 with a solo homer at No. 1 Georgia (March 11) … Recorded 16 putouts during LSU’s 2-1 win in 14 innings over No. 1 Alabama (April 8) … Posted five 1-for-3 performances over a seven-game run (April 13-22) … Laced sixth inning single which turned into winning run in a 4-2 victory at Mississippi State (April 29) … Hit safely in all three games and added RBIs during the last two games of the South Carolina series (May 6-8) … Was 1-for-3 with a RBI single against Texas A&M (May 22) at the NCAA College Station Regional.   

FRESHMAN SEASON (2010)
Tallied 27 appearances, including 18 starts … Tigers won 17 of 18 games when Houston was the starting catcher … Garnered 11 of her 18 starts during LSU’s program-best 24-game winning streak (Feb. 20-March 31) … Went 4-for-42 at the plate with six RBIs … Recorded her first career RBI on a bases loaded walk against Southeastern Louisiana (Feb. 24) … Turned in a 2-for-3 performance and her RBI single broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning against Jacksonville State (Feb. 27) en route to Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team honors … Provided two RBIs against South Alabama (March 5) … Added a RBI on a bases loaded walk at McNeese State (March 31) … Picked up 113 putouts highlighted by a career-best 12 in the middle game of the Arkansas series (April 18).
