SENIOR SEASON (2012)
Returned from a 2011 medical redshirt season to start in 63 of LSU’s 65 games shared between right field (51) and designated player (12)… Compiled a .209 batting average (36-for-172) and added six RBIs … Her 36 hits, 21 walks, 19 runs scored, seven multi-hit efforts and five doubles were third on the team … Wrapped up her career with 140 hits to finish 25th on LSU’s all-time list … Coaxed 74 career walks to rank seventh on the all-time program rankings … Hit safely in her first three outings (Feb. 10-11) at the Tiger Classic … Went 2-for-3 with a run scored versus No. 3 California (Feb. 19) … Produced hits in both games against No. 23 Oklahoma State (March 3-4) … Tallied a hit, two runs and a RBI versus Mississippi Valley State (March 9) … Was 1-for-3 with a run scored during SEC opener with No. 20 Auburn (March 14) … Garnered a 2-for-3 performance with two runs scored and a RBI against Mississippi State (March 16) … Her RBI groundout capped LSU’s 4-0 win and series sweep over Mississippi State (March 18) … Strung together a six-game hitting streak which included all three games of the Arkansas series to match a career-long run (March 25-April 4) … Cranked a two-run single with the bases loaded during the sixth inning of LSU’s 3-2 comeback win over Arkansas (April 1) … Went 1-for-3 with a walk in LSU’s 3-2 win over national champion and No. 2 Alabama (April 7) … Turned in a 2-for-3 performance and scored the game’s only run during LSU’s 1-0 win at No. 2 Florida (April 24) … Provided three multi-hit efforts during LSU’s journey to the Women’s College World Series (May 18-June 2) … Batted .280 (7-for-25) to share team-high honors with Allison Flacon in NCAA postseason play … Chipped in a 2-for-3 effort with a run scored at No. 8 national seed Texas A&M (May 20) in the NCAA College Station Regional championship game … Notched a 3-for-3 performance with a run scored versus No. 1 national seed California (May 31) in LSU’s WCWS opener.
REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON (2011)
Appeared in three games as a pinch runner before taking a medical redshirt … Scored two runs, including the game-winning run during a 1-0 nine-inning triumph over Hofstra (March 4) to secure head coach Yvette Girouard‘s 500th win at LSU.
JUNIOR SEASON (2010)
One of four Tigers to start all 61 games … 42 of her 61 starts came at designated player … LSU won 17 of 19 games when Applegate started at right field … Finished with a .294 (52-for-177) average after spending a majority of the season over .300 … Tacked on 22 RBIs; one of seven Tigers to finish with over 20 RBIs … Upped her average to .357 (20-of-56) when playing right field … Compiled a team-best 32 walks and hit-by-a-pitch 13 times en route to a .437 on-base percentage … Drew multiple walks on eight occasions … Recorded a 10-for-11 clip in the stolen base department … Scored 35 runs to rank third on the team highlighted by a six-game streak (Feb. 27-March 6) … LSU was 28-0 when Applegate crossed the plate … Reached base in 54 of 61 games, including 23 of 24 games during LSU’s program-long winning streak (Feb. 20-March 31) … Tallied 12 multi-hit performances only behind Kirsten Shortridge and Rachel Mitchell … Matched a career-best six-game hitting streak on two occasions (Feb. 13-19 & May 8-15) … Finished strong with hits in 15 of her last 22 games (April 10-May 22) … Ripped a RBI double to conclude LSU’s six-run fourth inning against Oklahoma State (Feb. 19) … Added a 2-for-4 performance with two RBIs against Virginia (Feb. 21) to earn Tiger Classic All-Tournament Team honors … Garnered RBIs in four of five games at the Tiger Invitational (Feb. 26-28), including the game-tying or go-ahead run in the late innings against Houston and Jacksonville State (Feb. 28) … Slapped hits in seven of her first eight SEC games (March 13-21), including all three games of the South Carolina series (March 13-14) … Followed with a trio of multi-hit games with RBIs during the Auburn series (March 20-21) … Turned in a 2-for-4 performance with a career-best three RBIs at Southeastern Louisiana (March 24) … Added hits in two games of the Mississippi State (April 10-11), Arkansas (April 17-18) and Kentucky series’ (April 24-25) … Broke a 1-1 tie with a RBI single during the fifth inning of the Arkansas finale (April 18) … Went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases in game two of the Georgia series (April 30) … Cranked hits in all three games of the Tennessee series (May 8-9) and LSU’s games at the SEC Tournament (May 13-15) … Knocked a RBI single to ignite LSU’s four-run fifth inning against No. 4 Alabama (May 15) … Went 0-for-8 with two walks during the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional (May 21-22).
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2009)
Saw action in 52 games and made 48 starts splitting time between right field, designated player and second base … Finished with a .281 batting average to go along with 22 RBIs … Spent most of the season with over a .300 hitting clip … One of four players to record double-digit, multi-hit games … Six of her 10 multi-hit efforts came against SEC opponents … Tied for fifth on the team racking up seven multi-RBI performances … Capped seventh inning, four-run comeback with a RBI-single and added game-winning RBI on a bases loaded walk during ninth inning at Hawai’i (Feb. 7) … Provided game tying, two-run single in sixth inning against No. 5 Texas A&M (Feb. 15) … Notched hits in three of four games en route to All-Tournament Team honors at Purple & Gold Challenge (Feb. 20-22) … Slapped hits in 15 of 27 games versus SEC opponents … Tallied a career-best four hits with a RBI in game two against Kentucky (March 7) … Went 1-for-4 and drove home two RBIs in middle game of Tennessee series (April 4) … Strung together a career-long six-game hitting streak with four multi-hit efforts (April 10-18) … Was 4-for-7 with four RBIs in doubleheader against Southeastern Louisiana (April 15) … Started three NCAA Tempe Regional games and knocked in a two-run single in LSU’s 10-2 victory over No. 9 Arizona State (May 16).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2008)
Played in 43 games, starting 14 … Saw most action in the outfield, but also saw action at third base, as the designated player and as a pinch runner … Recorded one multiple-hit game on the season with a 2-for-5 performance against Troy… Had two multiple-RBI games, both against UL-Monroe … Had a three-game hitting streak during the year … Recorded one double and nine RBIs on the season … Was 3-for-3 in stolen bases … Committed only one error on the season … Member of the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.
