Led the team with wins during the regular season with a 32-8 record overall, 23-5 mark in dual play and 11-1 conference record … Became the 16th player in school history to reach the 30-win mark in a season… In the NCAA team tournament, secured two wins for LSU over Columbia’s Adi Milstein 6-0, 6-1 and Virginia’s Erica Susi 6-3, 6-1 … Took down Kentucky’s Kristen Lewis in the second round of the SEC Tournament 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) for her 30th win of the year … Dominated league play with her unblemished record on court five … Defeated Georgia’s Mariana Gould 7-5, 6-2 … Pushed to a third set in matches against Florida and South Carolina but ultimately came out with victories over Brigit Folland of USC and No. 82 Josie Kuhlman of Florida … A major contributor of LSU’s weekend sweep over Arkansas and Missouri with two-set wins over Cassidy Spearman and Agne Cepelyte … Picked up a 6-3, 6-1 road win over Mami Adachi of Kentucky … Dropped the first set against Alabama’s Danielle Spielmann but fought back to get the singles point 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-3 … Went undefeated at the ITA Team Indoor Championships with wins over Katarina Stresnakova of No. 10 Oklahoma State and Mira Ruder-Hook of No. 12 Michigan … Dominated Georgia Tech’s Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer 6-1, 6-0 in the final round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend … Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014-15)
Finished her second season with an 18-8 record in dual matches, which was tied for second on the team … Also held an 11-10 record in doubles play with partner Skylar Kuykendall … Moved up to court three midway through conference play and finished with a record of 11-5 … Defeated No. 46 Saska Gavrilovska of Texas A&M for a crucial point, which sent LSU to the third SEC Tournament semifinal in school history … Helped the Lady Tigers get out to a 2-0 lead in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament with a dominating 6-0, 6-1 win over New Mexico’s Meredith Hopson … Notched a four-match win streak with victories over Mississippi State’s Louise Ronaldson, Arkansas’ Makenzie Craft, Missouri’s Bea Santos and Kentucky’s Kelsey Dieters … Came back from a set down to defeat South Carolina Meghan Blevins 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 … Recorded singles wins for the Lady Tigers against NC State, Tulane and Rice before heading into SEC play … Began the season on a five-match win streak against McNeese State, Southern, Boston College, Northwestern State and Jackson State … Owens along with partner Skylar Kuykendall finished 11-10 in dual matches and 5-5 in conference play … The duo defeated the 18th (UF) and 20th (Texas A&M) ranked teams in the country … Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013-14)
Held a 15-14 overall singles record and a 14-11 doubles record … Singles record included a 3-5 tournament record and a 12-9 dual record, highlighted by a 7-3 SEC record … Accumulated a 6-1 record at No. 4 and a 4-4 record at No. 3 … Led the team in clinched matches with five in 2014 (Nicholls, Southern, Missouri, Mississippi State and Arkansas) … Garnered her first victory over a ranked opponent and defeated South Carolina’s No. 122 Brigit Folland 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 … Notched LSU’s lone point over Kentucky and topped Edmee Morin-Kougoucheff 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 … Clinched the match over Missouri with a 6-0, 7-6 (2) victory over Madison Rhyner … Captured match point for LSU and defeated Mississippi State’s Timea Guibe 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 … Clinched the match over Arkansas and topped Sarah McClean 6-2, 7-5 … Doubles record included a 3-4 tournament record and an 11-7 dual record … Owens and Noel Scott defeated Middle Tennessee State’s Nayara Moraes and Irina Constantinide and then topped Samford’s Stephanie N’tcha and Yasmeen Ebada to reach the finals of the Bianca Svensonn Draw in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic … Owens and Jeremiah clinched the doubles point against Nicholls and Southern … Owens and Gabrielle Otero held a career-high six-match winning streak and accumulated a 9-6 doubles record with a 7-3 record on court three and a 2-3 record on court two in dual play … The duo clinched the doubles point as they topped Jackson State’s Anastasiia Zviahintseva and Julie Angermann 8-1 … Owens and Otero picked up SEC wins over pairs from Vanderbilt, Auburn and Mississippi State … Earned her first varsity letter.
