SOPHOMORE SEASON (2017)
Appeared in 22 games, making 19 starts in the circle for the Tigers … Secured a 12-7 record while amassing nine complete games … Gave up 32 earned runs in 107.2 innings on her way to a 2.08 ERA … Compiled 52 total strikeouts … Started four games in which the Tigers held their opponents to no runs, three of which were complete games … Held Georgia to two hits in a complete game victory … In her next start, allowed just three hits in a complete game shutout victory over Mississippi State while adding three strikeouts … Followed that performance with another complete game shutout victory against Alabama allowing just three hits … 2017 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2016)
Appeared in 23 games in her first season at LSU, making 17 starts in the circle where she led the pitching staff in ERA, shutouts and walks allowed… Secured a 13-4 record with a 1.16 ERA, as in 96.1 innings of work had seven shutouts and 10 complete games, striking out 76 and walking just 24, allowing 31 runs, 16 earned, on 78 hits… Had an opponent batting average of .213 on the year… Recorded five or more strikeouts five times on the season… Issued a walk or fewer in 17 appearances… Issued an earned run or fewer in 18 appearances… Finished third in the SEC in ERA, 11th in opponent batting average, tied for second in earned runs allowed, seventh in hits allowed, tied for fourth in walks allowed and sixth in runs allowed… In SEC games she was first in ERA, third in opponent batting average, first in earned runs allowed, first in hits allowed, first in walks allowed, first in runs allowed and did not give up a home run which was also first… Nationally she finished seventh overall in ERA, 68th in hits allowed, 20th in shutouts and 96th in walks allowed per seven innings… Won each of her first five starts before suffering her first loss… Made her debut by striking out eight and allowing just one hit in five innings against North Florida… Pitched second shutout of the year by striking out five and scattering just two hits against ULM… Became the fourth LSU pitcher to throw a perfect game, striking out six in a win over Tennessee Tech… Struck out eight and scattered five hits in a seven-inning complete game shutout against Longwood in the first game of a doubleheader… Flirted with a no hitter as she struck out four and gave up one hit in another seven-inning complete-game shutout over Nicholls… Gave up one unearned run to Mississippi State while striking out three in a win… Shut out South Carolina by striking out three and scattering three hits in seven innings… Reached double-digit victories by allowing an unearned run to Arkansas on four hits… Was the first pitcher on the season to shut out Washington in a game by scattering three hits and striking out four with two walks in the first game of a doubleheader… Pitched 6.2 innings of relief work and allowed just one run on eight hits with four strikeouts in a series-clinching win over Washington… Earned the start in the super regional finale and held James Madison to two runs, one earned, on four hits with a strikeout and two walks in four innings to help send LSU to the Women’s College World Series.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a five-year letterwinner at Maple Grove High School in Minnesota under head coach Jim Koltes… Amassed a 54-1 high school record as a pitcher, helping Maple Grove to four consecutive conference and section championships, making the championship game of the state tournament in 2012 and 2014… Was a two-time winner of the Minnesota Gatorade Softball and Metro Player of the Year awards… Was a three-time all-conference and all-state selection… Was 20-1 with a save in her senior campaign, holding an earned run average below 0.20, with three no-hitters and a perfect game to her credit, batting .520 at the plate on the season as she also set the school’s home run record… Had an ERA of 0.56, hitting .578 on the season, while claiming the school’s double and RBI records… Held an earned run average of 0.41, as at the plate she hit .532 as the Crimson finished as runner-up in the state finals.

Born February 26 in Omaha, Nebraska… Parents are Mike and Stephanie Smith… Has two brothers in Blaine and Brandon… Plans to major in kinesiology.
