Talented infielder who originally signed with Oregon, but when a coaching change was made there, he was granted a release from his national letter-of-intent … suffered a rib injury early in LSU’s fall 2019 practice session; underwent surgery to remove the rib and was able to return to the field in early March, 2020 … played a prominent role for the Tigers during the 2021 season, starting 37 games – mostly at second baseball … elected to transfer to another school in the summer of 2021… selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 34th round of the 2019 MLB Draft.
2021 Season
Played in 49 games (37 starts), batting .277 (43-for-155) with four doubles, seven homers, 26 RBI and 25 runs scored … Named to the NCAA Eugene Regional All-Tournament Team, batting .412 (7-for-17) with one homer, one RBI and three runs scored … launched a solo homer in LSU’s regional win over Gonzaga on June 6 … provided game-winning hit at Texas A&M on May 21 with a two-run single … collected one double, one homer and two RBI in win over Texas A&M on May 22 … 3-for-4 with two doubles and a career-high four RBI vs. Louisiana Tech (May 11) … launched first career homer in an SEC game, a solo shot on May 1 vs. Arkansas … career-best four hits vs. UTSA on March 14, including a homer and two RBI … batted .389 (7-for-18) during the week of March 3-7 with one double, one homer and four RBI … blasted first career LSU homer in season opener vs. Air Force (Feb. 20).
2020 Season
After working his way back from rib surgery in the fall, he appeared in two games as a reserve second baseman/shortstop versus UMass Lowell (March 6 and 7) … was 0-for-2 in two plate appearances and also recorded one infield assist … was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll as a general business major.
Prior to LSU
A three-year letterman in baseball at Great Oak High School in Temecula, Calif., where he helped led the team to the 2019 CIF Division 3 Championship … played in the summer of 2019 in the Northern California Collegiate League as a member of the Lincoln Potters; through games of July 28, he was batting .308 with one triple, two doubles, four homers, seven steals and 18 RBI … batted .406 in his high school career at Great Oak with 11 doubles, nine triples, seven homers, 33 RBI and 23 steals … voted 2019 California All-State infielder for medium-sized high schools … a two-time All-League shortstop (2018, 2019) .. .voted a 2019 Division 3 All-CIF Infielder.
