2024 Season
• Named to the 2024 Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List
• Made 22 relief appearances on the year, posting a 2-0 mark and a 2.59 ERA in 24.1 innings with 18 walks and 36 strikeouts
• Pitched a combined 4.2 innings in LSU’s SEC and NCAA postseason games, allowing just one unearned run on three hits with six strikeouts and one save
• Picked up save in NCAA Chapel Hill Regional vs. North Carolina (June 2), working 1.1 scoreless innings with one hit, two walks
• Made two appearances in the SEC Tournament and worked 2.2 innings without giving up an earned run; allowed one hit with no walks and three strikeouts
• Earned save at Alabama (May 11), firing 2.0 scoreless innings with no hits, one walk and one strikeout in 6-3 LSU win
• Brilliant relief effort to defeat Northwestern State (May 7) – 4.0 IP with no runs on one hit, no walks and a career-high seven strikeouts
• Earned save on May 4 in series victory over Texas A&M, retiring the final Aggies batter with two runners on to preserve a 6-4 win
• Recorded three strikeouts in 0.2 inning vs. Auburn (April 27) – one Auburn hitter reached on a wild pitch after the strikeout
• Pitched 2.0 scoreless innings at Arkansas (March 30), allowing no hits with three walks and three strikeouts
2023 Season
• Developed into one of LSU’s top arms out of the bullpen as a true freshman, making 23 appearances (one start) and posting a 3-0 record with a 3.77 ERA and three saves in 28.2 innings … recorded 42 strikeouts and 12 walks, and limited opponents to a .209 cumulative batting average
• Made relief appearances in Games 2 and 3 of the CWS Finals vs. Florida (June 25-26), working a total of 3.2 innings with four strikeouts; Guidry pitched the final 2.0 innings of Game 3 to seal the CWS title for LSU, as he allowed one run on two hits in 2.0 innings with no walks and two strikeouts
• Made a total of four CWS appearances, allowing three earned runs in 5.0 innings with one walk and six strikeouts
• Pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in CWS game vs. Wake Forest (June 21), allowing two hits with no walks and two strikeouts
• Brilliant outing to earn the save in Game 2 of the NCAA Super Regional vs. Kentucky (June 11), firing 2.2 scoreless innings and allowing just one hit with no walks and four strikeouts
• Posted save in NCAA Baton Rouge Regional winners’ bracket game vs. Oregon State (June 4), working a scoreless ninth inning with one hit, no walks and two strikeouts in a 6-5 LSU win
• Earned save at Georgia (May 19), working 2.0 scoreless innings with one hit, no walks and three strikeouts
• Recorded longest career outing on May 7 at Auburn – 3.1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO (66 pitches)
• Made first career pitching start on May 2 at Southeastern Louisiana, earning the win by working 2.1 innings and limiting the Lions to no runs on no hits with one walk and four strikeouts
• Pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth April 23 at Ole Miss to preserve the win and earn his first career save … Guidry allowed a one-out double, but then retired the final two Ole Miss hitters to seal the victory
• Posted the first two pitching wins of his collegiate career on April 4 and April 7, as he recorded relief victories over Nicholls (April 4) and third-ranked South Carolina (April 7) … he recorded a combined 3.0 scoreless innings with one hit, one walk and six strikeouts
• In the April 7 win over the South Carolina, Guidry pitched the final 1.2 innings, limiting South Carolina to no runs on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts … he entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with one out and the score tied 7-7, and he retired two straight batters to end the inning; after LSU took an 8-7 lead in the top of the ninth, Guidry blanked the Gamecocks in the bottom of the frame by striking out the side to end the game
• Guidry earned the April 4 win over Nicholls by pitching 1.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts
High School
Played at Barbe High School in Lake Charles, La., where he was the 2022 Gatorade Louisiana High School Player of the Year … blasted four home runs and posted a .422 batting average in 2022 with five homers and 25 RBI, leading the Bucs to a 36-4 record and a berth in the Class 5A quarterfinals … also compiled an 8-0 record on the mound with a 0.16 ERA and 83 strikeouts and 11 walks in 45 innings … the No. 1 ranked player in Louisiana by Perfect Game for Class of 2022, and he played in Perfect Game All-American Classic … ranked nationally as the No. 13 shortstop and No. 65 overall prospect by Perfect Game … member of the 2021 18U Team USA National Team.
