• Burst onto the national scene as a true freshman, making 19 appearance (three starts) and posting a 5-1 record with a 2.05 ERA and seven saves … worked 52.2 innings, recording 19 walks, 71 strikeouts and a .228 opponent batting average
• One of 13 finalists for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, presented to the best reliever in NCAA Division I
• Finished No. 7 in the SEC in saves with seven
• Excellent relief outing vs. UCLA in College World Series (June 16), earning the win and limiting the Bruins to two run on four hits in 4.1 innings with no walks and five strikeouts
• Earned save vs. Arkansas (June 14) in LSU’s CWS opener, working 1.0 inning with no runs on one hit and one strikeout
• Delivered one of the greatest postseason outings in LSU history on June 2 in the Tigers’ NCAA Baton Rouge Regional championship game win over Little Rock … Evans entered the game in the second inning and limited Little Rock to one run on four hits in 6.0 innings with three walks and a career-best 12 strikeouts on a career-high 109 pitches … Evans struck out nine straight Little Rock batters, beginning with the second out of the fourth inning through the first out of the seventh inning … the nine strikeouts streak was the longest by an LSU pitcher in at least the past 37 seasons; RH Ben McDonald fanned eight in a row vs. Stephen F. Austin on March 24, 1989
• Defeated Tennessee (April 27) in first collegiate start, working a career-long 6.0 innings with two runs, six hits, no walks and six Ks
• Logged a relief win vs. Alabama (April 17), firing 2.1 scoreless innings with one hit, one walk and two strikeouts
• Earned a 3.1-inning save at Oklahoma (April 4), limiting the Sooners to no runs on two hits with no walks and five strikeouts
• Pitched career highs of 4.0 innings and 72 pitches to earn March 28 save vs. Mississippi State – no runs on two hits, three BB, six Ks
• Worked 3.2 innings at Texas (March 23), allowing one run on four hits with no walks and five strikeouts
• Posted first career SEC save on March 15 vs. Missouri – 2.1 IP, no runs on two hits with two walks and four strikeouts (44 pitches)
• Named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week on March 3 after earning a win and a save in two appearances, working a total of 4.0 scoreless innings with three hits, one walk and five strikeouts … earned the save in Feb. 26 win over Dallas Baptist, firing 2.0 scoreless innings with no hits, no walks and two strikeouts … after throwing 22 pitches in the Feb. 26 game, he returned to the mound on Feb. 28 versus Kansas State and earned the win with a 2.0-inning outing, allowing no runs on three hits with one walk and three strikeouts over 33 pitches
• Earned first LSU career save on Feb. 21 vs. Omaha, firing 2.0 scoreless innings with no hits, one walk and five strikeouts

• Rated No. 26 among the 2025 Perfect Game Top 75 College Freshmen … highly-regarded two-way player who excelled in high school as a pitcher and shortstop
