LSU Athletics and TAF honors student-athletes for their athletic and academic achievements for the 2021-2022 academic year by celebrating with MIKEY Awards.
This year’s MIKEY Award winners have been announced on social media throughout the past week. The MIKEY Awards will be back in person in April 2023.

Eye of the Tiger Award
The Eye of Tiger Award is presented to an LSU student-athlete who has overcome great adversity with perseverance, dedication and determination. In addition displaying dedication to their sport, this student-athlete has demonstrated characteristics of integrity, academic fortitude and sportsmanship. The Eye of the Tiger Award winner, exemplifies excellence in all that they do and is an example of what it means to be an LSU Tiger.

H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year
LSU’s Lisa Gunnarsson was named the 2021-22 Southeastern Conference H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year on May 3. She became the second LSU Track & Field athlete to garner the most prestigious honor the SEC gives out. Read More
