Ashley Shook Season 2026
Ashley Shook was promoted to assistant coach for LSU volleyball in July 2023 after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2022 season.
Shook aided LSU in reaching the 2022 NCAA Tournament, marking its first trip to the dance since 2017. On Dec. 2, 2022, the team won its first postseason match since 2014 – a 3-1 decision over Hawaii.
Shook has played a role in the development of four student-athletes who have received five total AVCA All-Region accolades, including Jurnee Robinson (2023-2025), who was named 2025 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and the 2023 AVCA South Region Freshman of the Year.
As the liaison for academics on staff, Shook has stewarded 10 Tigers with 11 total selections to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team (formally known as CoSIDA).
Prior to joining the LSU coaching staff, Shook completed a two-year stint playing beach volleyball at Washington. Before joining the Huskies, Shook was a four-year letter for indoor volleyball at the University of Texas from 2017-2020 as a setter.
Shook helped Texas win four Big 12 Championships and reach the NCAA Tournament each season. Shook totaled 1,941 assists (8.19 per set), 390 digs, 120 kills, 102.5 total blocks, and 18 aces in 182 games played during her tenure with the Longhorns.
Shook led the Longhorns in assists as a freshman in 2017, tallying 1,149 helpers (10.84 per set) to go along with 58 blocks. In her sophomore season, Shook paced the Longhorns again with 742 assists (9.16 per set) and had 10 aces.
