SENIOR SEASON (2021)
Appeared and started in all 57 games the Tigers played … Finished with a .365 batting average with 70 hits in 192 plate appearances … Ended career ranked in the program’s record book at No. 2 in stolen bases (145), third in runs (196), fourth in hits (286), tied fourth in at bats (810), and fifth in games played (268) … Tallied six doubles and five triples, a team high … Hit her first two career home runs in 2021, including a lead-off inside-the-park round trip on March 2 against Southern Miss and a solo shot against Texas on March 6 … Known for her defensive prowess in centerfield and gained national attention as a regular on Sportcenter’s Top 10 segment; nicknamed “Air Aliyah” for her incredible diving plays in the outfield … Also displayed her speed on the basepaths with 27 stolen bases on 29 total attempts … Had 18 multi-hit games and achieved two separate nine-game hitting streaks … Named a top-25 finalist of the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year … Selected ninth in the Athletes Unlimited Draft … Named SEC Player of the Week three times … Named to the Preseason All-SEC team and finished the season on the All-SEC First team and SEC All-Defensive team … Named to the LSWA first team All-Louisiana … Led the Tigers in several categories including batting average, hits, runs scored, triples and stolen bases … Recorded 86 putouts while roaming the outfield from gap to gap.
SENIOR SEASON (2020) – Season was cut short due to the coronavirus
Started in 23 games for the Tigers in centerfield … She went to the plate 71 times and tallied 29 hits with three doubles, two triples and 11 RBI … She ended the season with the second best batting average on the team at .408 … Andrews moved to second place in all time stolen bases in Tiger history with 18 alone this season and 118 in her career … Her 18 stolen bases were first among the SEC and her 0.78 stolen bases per game was seventh in the nation … She scored 24 times on the year which was the most on the team … Did not have an error on the year in centerfield … Finished the season on a 15-game hit streak, recording three hits in the final game of the season on March 10 against South Alabama … Went 2-for-2 with three runs scored an RBI and two stolen bases against Campbell on March 6 … Had two stolen bases in four of the last five games of the year … Had three putouts on five separate occasions.
JUNIOR SEASON (2019)
Started in all 62 games as the primary center fielder for the Tigers … Had a .358 batting average on 204 at-bats, which is the second highest on the team, and a .363 slugging percentage … She was at the top of the Tiger lineup in all 62 games … Broke the single-season record for stolen bases on May 19 against Texas Tech, finishing the season with 47… Passed her sister A.J. Andrews on the career list for stolen bases with 100 in three years… Had 23 multi-hit games and her longest hitting streak was 11 … Led the team in both runs and hits with a total 61 runs and 73 hits, and is ranked number one in the SEC in runs and number 15 in the nation … Recorded nine RBI on the season … Had a .407 on base percentage and a team high of 47 stolen bases out of 50 attempted stolen bases … She upped the single-season stolen base record to 47 in the Minnesota Super Regional … Ranked number one in the SEC for stolen bases and number six in the nation … She led the outfield defensively with 94 put-outs and had a .980 fielding percentage … She racked up a season-high of three stolen bases against Nicholls State (March 27) … In SEC play she tallied a .356 batting average with 32 hits, and successfully stole base 14 out of 15 times … She finished with a 1.000 fielding percentage in SEC action … Her best batting performance was against Tulsa (Feb. 7) when she recorded a .667 batting average, had two hits and scored three runs … Scored the game winning run off of an Amanda Sanchez hit to left-center to clench the series against Florida in walk-off fashion.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018)
Started in all 62 games for the Tigers as the premier left fielder … recorded a team leading 71 hits and 35 runs scored on 216 at-bats this season … with a .329 batting average and .365 on-base percentage she was a reliable batter at the top of the Tiger lineup … defensively she led the outfield with 88 put-outs and had a .978 fielding percentage … Andrews had a historic season on the base paths this year amassing 42 stolen bases on 44 attempts, which is the second most all-time in LSU history, and racking up 4 stolen bases against Oregon State (Feb. 17) tying the most all-time in school history for a single game … during a season-high 10 game hitting streak from March 2nd-March 17th Andrews had a .528 batting average with 19 hits, and six multi-hit games including a career-high four hits against Auburn … in SEC play she was the leadoff hitter tallying a .322 batting average with 29 hits, and was a perfect 10-10 on stolen base attempts … during the epic 19 inning game against Ole Miss Andrews made an incredible diving catch in the top of the 17th inning to help prolong the game and give the Tigers the chance at victory … was honored with a Second Team All-SEC selection as well as being selected to the SEC All-Defensive team … earned SEC player of the week for the week of March 13th.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2017)
Started in 52 games and made 64 appearances as a freshman … In 127 plate appearances, she recorded 43 hits for an average of .339 … Recorded 30 runs scored … Stole 11 bases on 13 attempts … Recorded a .973 fielding percentage … Went 2-3 with two runs scored against Kansas … Tore through the month of March leading the team to a 16-4 record while recording a .533 batting average and scoring 13 runs … Hit .288 in SEC play on the strength of 15 hits … Went 3-3 in the decisive game of the Baton Rouge Regional against ULL … Went 2-3 with 2 runs scored in the clinching game of the Tallahassee Super Regional … Hit .343 during the postseason and scored 8 runs … 2017 Spring SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a four-year letterwinner at East Lake High School in Florida under head coach Kristie Delk… As a senior was named to the Florida Coaches All-State Team, along with being a first team All-Tampa Bay selection as she hit .484 with 17 RBIs and 28 stolen bases and being named to the state All-Star team… Was named a Tampa Bay Times first team All-Pinellas County and All-Tampa Bay selection, hitting .456 as a junior, striking out just three times all season and stealing 30 bases.. Was an all-county selection four times and All-Sun Coast selection once… Claimed a district championship with East Lake as a sophomore in 2014… Was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.
