2018 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll

SENIOR SEASON (2018)
Appeared in seven games while starting four at catcher for the Tigers in her senior season … on May 5th Loupe entered the game as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the fifth inning, and had the first hit of her career with a single up the middle, she then scored the game-winning run lifting the Tigers over the Razorbacks 10-2 … on the final night of Senior Tribute Weekend honoring the Tiger seniors, Loupe received the start at catcher, and recorded the second hit of her career as well as tallying up seven putouts on the night.

JUNIOR SEASON (2017)
Played in nine games for the Tigers … Scored three runs during the season … Scored a run in the Tiger’s game three victory over UL-Lafayette to help propel LSU into the Tallahassee Super Regional.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016)
Appeared in one game as a sophomore, coming on to pinch hit against Connecticut on February 13.

FRESHMAN SEASON
Made her first appearance in an LSU uniform against Northwestern State on Feb. 28, coming on to pinch run and also registering an at-bat in the contest.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a four-year letterwinner at Pope John Paul II High School under head coach Mark Jeanmard on the softball team… Amassed a 51-32-1 record during her prep career, winning the co-district championship in 2013 and 2014… Was a three-time first team all-district selection in 2012, ’13 and ’14, while earning all-metro and all-state first team honors at catcher in 2014… Was named the team’s offensive most valuable player as a junior, while being the team MVP as a senior… Named to the Clarion Herald Elite Softball team as a senior… Was on the honor roll.

Full name is Sydney Catherine Loupe, Born Nov. 26 in Slidell, Louisiana… Daughter of Craig and Stephanie Loupe… Has three brothers in Payton, Collin and Dalton… Majoring in sports administration.
