Saw most action as a pinch runner … Played in the field at shortstop in one game … Went 0-for-2 at the plate on the year … Scored 20 runs, including what proved to be the game winning run in a come-from-behind win at Kentucky … Was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases … Recorded one assist in the field against Alcorn State.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four letters in softball and one in volleyball while attending John Curtis High School from 2002-2003 and Domincan High School from 2000-2001 … Helped her team to back-to-back district championships at John Curtis in 2002 and 2003 … Team won the state championship her senior season … Was named ot the all-state team in 2003 at second base … Participated in the 2003 Louisiana High School Coaches Association All-Star Game … Won the John Curtis Golden Glove Award as a junior with a .954 fielding percentage and again as a senior with a .907 percentage … Set a school record with 28 stolen bases as a junior … Recorded 95 stolen bases while in high school … High .350 as a senior and a career-best .430 as a freshman … Never hit below .324 in high school … In 2002 her volleyball team also won the district title and finished as the state runners-up.
