JUNIOR SEASON (2001)
A former walk-on who earned a scholarship and established herself as one of the most consistent and reliable three-event scores on the team … Came up with a breakout season in which she established herself as one of the most reliable three-event scorers on the team … Couret won the first individual title of her career on March 9 against Michigan State and New Hampshire, when she nailed the vault to the tune of a 9.90 … Came up with three 9.825s on the floor exercise against Alabama, at the SEC Championships and in the Tigers’ victory over Michigan State and New Hampshire … Posted four scores of 9.750 or better on the beam, including a pair of 9.80s in consecutive weeks against Auburn and in the Michigan State-New Hampshire tri-meet … She was second on the Tigers in vault average for the year with a 9.770 average … Named an Academic All-American for the second straight season .. Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second time.

Competed on the vault in the Tigers’ 2000 opener, but suffered a knee injury and missed the remainder of the season … Was an Academic All-American and a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
