SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999): The Tigers’ leading tackler in 1999 and LSU’s starting free safety … Played and started in all 11 games … Led the Tigers in tackles on the season with 110 total stops, interceptions with three, pass breakups with 10 and forced fumbles with three … Was the team’s leading tackler in six of 11 games … Finished third in the SEC in total tackles and led all defensive backs in the league … Enjoyed a career-high in tackles against Houston with 17 stops, including a pair pass breakups … Had an all-around game against Miss. State with 11 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (1998): Named LSU’s Special Teams Player of the Year in 1998 … Played in every game as a key reserve and special teams player … Finished season with 18 tackles, including 11 solos … Broke up one pass and forced one fumble … High tackle game of five vs. Mississippi State, a game in which he also broke up a Bulldog pass … Made four tackles vs. Kentucky, including a brilliant open field tackle to stop a third down play … Was excellent on punt coverage vs. Arkansas State, downing one Jeremy Witten punt inside the 1-yard line … Saw action on 142 defensive plays from scrimmage … Saw special teams action on kickoff, kickoff return, punt, punt return and PAT/FG block teams.
