Outstanding blocking tight end who also lines up in the backfield as a fullback … Started this season as both a tight end and fullback … Had 2 catches for 10 yards as a senior.
JUNIOR SEASON (2000)
Talented tight end who played in all 12 games for the Tigers … Started against Western Carolina and Tennessee when the Tigers opened the game in a two tight end set …Caught one pass for the year, an 11-yard touchdown grab vs. Houston.
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999)
LSU’s starting tight end for the second half of the 1999 season … One of the Tigers’ starting tight ends in the double tight formation … Made four starts and played in 10 games … Was relied on heavily for his blocking ability … Caught seven passes for 62 yards on the season, including a long reception of 12 yards … Had his best game against North Texas where he grabbed two passes for 21 yards … Equaled his season-high in catches with two against Ole Miss and Houston … Played in every game except at Georgia.
FRESHMAN SEASON (1997)
Started seven and played in all 11 games … Got first career start vs. Akron in place of the injured Furnell Hankton … Also started at Vanderbilt, vs. Florida, at Kentucky and vs. Arkansas as LSU opened with two tight ends … Got start as only TE starter at Alabama and vs. Notre Dame … Caught his first career TD pass against Akron.
