SENIOR SEASON (2001)
One of the most dominating defensive lineman in school history … Earned a spot on the Coaches All-SEC team this year … Named SEC Player of the Week on Dec. 3 following a 7-tackle, 1 sack performance vs. Auburn … The SEC Player of the Week honor is the first of his career … Recorded 20th sack of career vs. Auburn, moving him to sole possession of 4th place in LSU history … Had 3 solo tackles, one for a loss vs. Arkansas … Had best game of season vs. Alabama with 7 tackles and 2 sacks … Had 4 sacks in 2001 … Started all 13 games for the Tigers, and during career, had 40 starts … As a senior, had 52 tackles, 7 for losses, to go along with a team-best 25 QB pressures … Had 7 tackles vs. Ole Miss … Drafted in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
JUNIOR SEASON (2000)
Battled through injuries to see action in nine games during the regular season with eight of those being starts … Also started the Peach Bowl for the Tigers … Recorded 31 tackles (13 solos), including three for loss … Had three tackles and one sack for minus 7-yards vs. Georgia Tech in Peach Bowl … Had one sack during the regular-season, which ran his career total to 16 … The 16 career sacks rank seventh in school history … His one sack came in 20-9 road win over Ole Miss … Registered a season-high seven tackles, including four solos, against Auburn in September … Broke up two passes … Posted four tackles against both Florida and Ole Miss … Missed the Kentucky and Mississippi State games due to an injury.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999)
The Tigers’ best pass rusher in 1999 .. Started 9 games on the year … Started 5 games at defensive end (North Texas, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky) and 4 at rush linebacker (the first and last three: San Jose State, Alabama, Houston, Arkansas) … Did not play at Miss. State due to injury … Provided a much needed threat off the end for the Tigers … Finished with 51 tackles, 12 for losses totaling 52 yards, 7 sacks for minus 42 yards, 3 forced fumbles, 2 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 quarterback hurry, and 1 blocked kick … He led the team in sacks, fumble recoveries and forced fumbles … Against San Jose State, he had 9 tackles, 4 for a loss (-12) yards and 2 sacks … At Kentucky, he made 6 tackles, including 2 sacks for a losses of 18 yards … Made at least 1 tackle for a loss in 6 of the 10 games he played.
