CAREER
Played two years at LSU after transferring from the University of Colorado … Saw action in a total of 17 games during his LSU career, all in a backup role … Sat out the 2004 season after transferring from Colorado, where he started as a true freshman in 2003 … Signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers in May.
SENIOR SEASON (2006)
Has played in 11 games with no starts … Has registered five tackles, including a season-high two stops in the Tigers’ victory over Tulane … Also a key member of LSU’s special team units, he has recorded two tackles in that capacity.
JUNIOR SEASON (2005)
Played in six games with no starts … Finished with 4 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss … Had tackle for a loss against North Texas.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2003 AT COLORADO)
Played in 12 games at Colorado before transferring to LSU … Totaled 55 tackles (45 solo), including 3 for losses … Returned 2 interceptions for 17 yards … Also credited with 5 pass breakups … Turned in a team-high 11 tackles at No. 10 Florida State on Sept. 20.
HIGH SCHOOL
Considered one of the top three players in the state of Louisiana … Prepped at Shaw High School … Earned Prep Football Report All-America honors, while SuperPrep tabbed him as a preseason All-American and a post-year All-Southwest team member … SuperPrep ranked him as the No. 10 player in Louisiana overall (the first DB), with Rivals.com ranking him as the nation’s No. 16 cornerback … Earned first-team all-district and first-team All-Catholic League honors as both a junior and senior … As a senior, he was in on 65 tackles and had a school record 17 pass deflections to go with 4 interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns … Returned three punts for touchdowns on the year and averaged close to 24 yards per return … As a junior, had 35 tackles, 15 PBU’s, 6 interceptions (2 returned for TDs), 2 forced fumbles and 2 recoveries … As a sophomore, he had 10 interceptions, 10 pass deflections and 30 tackles … Also lettered four times in track and basketball … Coached by Hank Tierney.
