True team player who did anything and everything asked of him during his five years with the Tigers … Played on both sides of the ball during his career and when the Tigers were without a quarterback for the 2022 Texas Bowl, he stepped up and played every snap at that position against Kansas State … He did the same thing in the Fiesta Bowl during the 2018 season when he moved from wide receiver to the secondary in-game when injuries and an ejection left the Tigers thin at defensive back … One of the most versatile players to play for the Tigers in a long time … Appeared in 57 games during his career with 3 starts … Starts came at wide receiver (2 times in 2020 and quarterback (1 time in 2021) … High school quarterback so he’s comfortable with the ball in his hands … Also has the ability to return punts … Shifty runner that makes defenders miss … Can be used in both the passing game and running game on offense … Opted to return for a fifth season in 2021 … Scheduled to graduate in May of 2022.
SUPER SENIOR SEASON (2021)
Appeared in 9 games with one start … Saw action at quarterback, wide receiver and special teams … Stepped in and started at quarterback against Kansas State in the Texas Bowl after not having played the position on a daily basis since high school … Completed 7-of-11 passes for 138 yards and 3 TDs against Kansas State … Added 61 rushing yards on 11 carries in the bowl game … Played in 8 games at receiver, hauling in 4 passes for 49 yards … Caught a pair of passes for 28 yards against Ole Miss and added a catch for 6 yards at Alabama and one for 15 yards against Louisiana-Monroe … Recorded 4 special teams tackles – 2 vs. Texas A&M and 1 against both Alabama and Arkansas.
SENIOR SEASON (2020)
Played in 10 games with two starts … Among the team leaders with 13 receptions for 184 yards and three TDs … Scored first touchdown of his career on a 28-yard first quarter reception from Myles Brennan in win over Vanderbilt … Added a 29-yard TD reception from Brennan against Vanderbilt in the third quarter … Other touchdown came when he recovered a Kayshon Boutte fumble that rolled into the endzone against Alabama, which statistically was ruled an TD reception.
JUNIOR SEASON (2019)
Played in 14 games with no starts … Caught two passes for 75 yards, both coming against Northwestern State … Hauled in a career-long 65-yard pass in win over the Demons … Added three special teams tackles, including one against Clemson in the national championship game.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018)
Played on both sides of the ball for the Tigers in 2018, seeing action at wide receiver and defensive back … Played in 12 games with no starts … Rushed twice for six yards and caught first career pass for five yards in win over Georgia … Returned two punts – one for five yards against Ole Miss and another for one yard against Florida … Had 2-yard rush against Georgia and a four yard carry against Rice … Did not record any defensive statistics in 2018.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2017)
Saw action in 12 games on special teams and defense … Recorded a tackle against Ole Miss and Tennessee.
