CAREER
A second-team All-SEC selection his senior season … Three year starter for the Tigers … He would have started all four years had it not been for a season-ending injury in the second game of his sophomore season … One of the finest blocking tight ends in LSU history … Improved his pass-catching skills dramatically during his career … Suffered knee injury in the second game of the 1991 season at Texas A&M and missed the remainder of the year … Was a starter at tight end before the injury … No LSU tight end caught a pass in 1991 after Bishop’s injury and few were attempted … Redshirted his true freshman season in 1989.

SENIOR SEASON (1993)
Earned second-team All-SEC honors as he played and started in all 11 games … Caught 14 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown … Had an outstanding season as a blocker … Best receiving game came in the season finale against Arkansas when he caught three passes for 18 yards … His touchdown catch against Tulane was the first and only of his career … Caught two passes each at Mississippi State and vs. Tulane … Caught at least one pass in every game except against Tennessee … Team’s sixth-leading pass catcher.

JUNIOR SEASON (1992)
Played in all 11 games and started eight … Had an outstanding game vs. Alabama: 6 catches, 49 yards … Also caught three passes for 45 yards at Arkansas … Made one catch for 17 yards vs. Texas A&M, his first home game in Tiger Stadium since the 1990 Tulane game (missed all 1991 home games due to early season injury) … Two catches each vs. Mississippi State and at Auburn … Has eight career 2-catch games … Had longest catch in the Colorado State game with a 25-yard toss from Jamie Howard … Started all games except Tennessee, Florida and Ole Miss.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (1991)
Started the first two games but was sidelined for the remainder of the year due to a knee injury suffered against Texas A&M … Caught two passes for 44 yards, including a 22-yarder in the season opener at Georgia … Both catches came vs. Georgia.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (1990)
Started all 11 games at tight end … Was LSU’s fifth-leading receiver with 10 catches for 107 yards (10.7 avg.) … Had two catches each vs. Texas A&M, at Alabama, and vs. Tulane … Most receiving yards came vs. Tulane with 44, including a season long catch of 36 yards … No touchdowns … First career start came vs. Georgia … First career catch vs. Miami (Ohio) for four yards.

HIGH SCHOOL
Named All-State tight end after leading Central High School in catches with 40 for 600 yards and a touchdown … Served as team captain … Named to the Lindy’s All-South and Lindy’s All-Alabama teams as well as All-Big High School in Alabama.
