• Parents are David Specht and Robyn Yorke … Father, David, was a swimmer at Air Force from 1979 to 1983 … Mother, Robyn, played softball at Fresno State from 1994 to 1998 and is considered one of the best players in program history … She was a four-time All-American and helped the Bulldogs win the 1998 national championship and helped teach her sons hitting … Aunt, Christa, also played softball at Fresno State from 1991 to 1994.
• Oldest brother, Joe, also played baseball at Archbishop Mitty HS and graduated in 2019 … He spent the 2020 season with the Boise State program … Transferred to Cal Poly after Boise State cut the program and played four seasons with the Mustangs ending in 2024.
• Older brother, Nick, also played baseball at Archbishop Mitty HS and graduated in 2020. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox with the 17th overall pick. Made his MLB Debut on Sept. 16, 2024, with the Pittsburgh Pirates with Zach in attendance.
