2021 NCAA Eugene Regional All-Tournament Team

Pitcher who committed at an early age to LSU because he induced an inordinate amount of swings and misses … possesses an upper ‘80s to low ‘90s fastball with very good life from an over-the-top slot that creates a steep angle for hitters … breaking ball is a true 12-6, and he has developed a good change-up to go along with his fastball and curveball … after a strong freshman campaign in 2021, he made three relief appearances  in 2022, but suffered a season-ending arm injury in late February … rehabilitated at an accelerated pace after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March 2022, and remarkably returned to the mound in April 2023 to contribute to LSU’s National Championship season … appeared in 37 career games (13 starts) at LSU, recording an 8-5 mark and 98 strikeouts in 78.2 innings.

2024 Season
• Made 12 appearances on the mound (seven starts), recording a 3-1 mark and a 5.19 ERA in 26.0 innings with 21 walks and 28 strikeouts
• Pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief vs. North Carolina in NCAA Chapel Hill Regional championship game, allowing no hits with one strikeout
• Recorded a win over Grambling State (April 30), pitching 2.0 scoreless innings with one hit and one strikeout
• LSU’s starting pitcher in Game 1 of Arkansas series (March 28), limiting the Razorbacks to one run on two hits in 2.1 IP with two walks and three strikeouts
• Posted a season-high six strikeouts in 4.0 innings in a win vs. Stony Brook on February 25; recorded five Ks in 3.0 innings vs. North Dakota State on March 12
Credited with the win vs. VMI on February 18, as he worked 3.0 shutout innings and allowed two hits with three strikeouts

2023 Season
• Appeared in eight games (four starts) in 2023 after rehabilitating from Tommy John surgery that took place in March 2022 … posted a 1-2 record and a 7.07 ERA in 14.0 innings with 16 walks and 21 strikeouts
• Started on the mound in LSU’s College World Series win over Wake Forest on June 21, recording two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work
• Made his first career SEC start on May 14 vs. Mississippi State, working the first 2.2 innings and limiting the Bulldogs to one run on no hits with three walks and five strikeouts
• Making just his third appearance of the season after recovering from Tommy John surgery a year ago, Coleman posted a relief win over Alabama on April 29 … he entered the game in the fourth inning and subdued Alabama’s bats to allow LSU to execute a rally from an early deficit … Coleman worked 2.1 scoreless innings with no hits, three walks and six strikeouts … the April 29 win over Alabama was Coleman’s first since February 19, 2022, when he earned a relief victory over Maine
• Pitched for the first time in 2023 in an SEC game on April 23 at Ole Miss, allowing three runs on three hits in 2.0 innings with one walk and one strikeout
• Made his 2023 season debut April 18 vs. UL Lafayette after missing nearly all of the 2022 season due to Tommy John surgery … pitched the first inning vs. UL Lafayette, retiring all three batters he faced on 16 pitches with two strikeouts

2022 Season
Made three relief appearances versus Maine (Feb. 19), at Louisiana Tech (Feb. 23) and versus Southern (Feb. 26) before he was sidelined with an arm injury … posted a 1-0 record and a 4.50 ERA in 6.0 total innings with two walks and six strikeouts … worked a scoreless 1.1 innings in the Feb. 26 game vs. Southern, with no hits, not walks and two strikeouts … pitched three innings in the Feb. 19 game vs. Maine and was credited with the relief win, allowing one run on one hit with no walks and three strikeouts.

2021 Season
Appeared in 14 games (two starts), posting a 3-2 record and a 5.79 ERA in 32.2 innings with 18 walks and 43 strikeouts … voted to the NCAA Eugene Regional All-Tournament Team after he posted a brilliant relief win over Oregon (June 6) in the first game of the championship round; Coleman limited the Ducks to one run on three hits in six innings with three walks and six strikeouts … recorded four relief innings at Texas A&M (May 20), limiting the Aggies to one run on three hits in four innings with one walk and five strikeouts … superb relief outing on May 15 versus Alabama; limited the Tide to one run on four hits in four innings with no walks and five strikeouts … earned win in relief role vs. Southern (May 3) – fired 1.1 scoreless and hitless innings with no walks and three strikeouts … made first career SEC appearance at Ole Miss (April 24); worked three innings and was charged with six runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts, firing a season-high 73 pitches … pitched one scoreless relief inning vs. UL Monroe on April 20, allowing one hit with no walks and two strikeouts; the appearance was his first on the mound since March 14 vs. UT San Antonio … earned win in his collegiate debut as a reliever vs. Louisiana Tech (Feb. 22), limiting the Bulldogs to one run on one hit in 3.2 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.
