• Played three seasons (2023-25) at High Point, batting .323 (171-for-530) with 46 doubles, two triples, 37 homers, 136 RBI, 143 runs and 29 stolen bases
• Voted 2025 NCBWA Third-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big South Conference after hitting .389 (91-for-234) with 24 doubles, 22 homers, 78 RBI, 75 runs and 14 stolen bases … played both first base and third base during the season
• Finished among the Top 10 in the nation in 2025 in doubles (24), slugging percentage (.774), total bases (181) and RBI (78)
• Batted .300 in 2024 with 12 home runs, 18 doubles, two triples, 46 RBI, 60 runs and 14 steals in 15 attempts … hit two homers and had five RBI in the Big South Tournament against Charleston Southern

• Played baseball at Cosby HS all four years under Head Coach Dean Grant… played basketball his junior and senior years for Head Coach Ron Carr and played one year of football his senior year under Head Coach Pete Mutascio
• In baseball, Simpson was selected to the 2022 first team All-State squad… voted the 2022 Virginia 6A Player of the Year… he also earned a spot on the 2022 first team All-Metro selection… in 2021 he was apart of the 6A Region Championship… he was voted the Cosby High School Male Athlete of the Year and was also a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society and Varsity Club

Full name is Brayden Kealy Simpson … born on December 22, 2003 … he is the son of Brad and Jennifer Simpson … he has one sibling, Brooks … his father, Brad, played baseball at VCU and Longwood and his mother, Jennifer played tennis at Longwood
