At LSU (2023)
• Tommy White pledged to donate a portion of his NIL earnings to Empower 225, an organization in Baton Rouge aimed to empower youth to escape the cycle of violence and poverty by providing them with resources such as educational support, life skills training, career preparedness, housing and mentorship
• Helped lead the Tigers to the 2023 National Championship, as he batted .374 (102-for-273) with 24 doubles, 24 homers, 105 RBI and 64 runs scored … finished No. 1 in the nation in RBI (105), No. 3 in total bases (198) and No. 4 in RBI per game (1.59)
• Completed the season No. 1 in the SEC in RBI (105), No. 2 in total bases (198), No. 2 in hits (102), No. 2 in doubles (24), No. 4 in homers (24), No. 6 in batting average (.374) and No. 7 in slugging percentage (.725)
• Voted to the College World Series All-Tournament Team, batting .351 (11-for-32) in eight games with two doubles, two homers, eight RBI and five runs scored
• Launched two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th inning vs. Wake Forest (June 22), lifting LSU into the CWS Championship Series … it was the fifth walk-off hit in LSU’s CWS history, including the second walk-off home run … the Tigers’ other CWS walk-off homer was by Warren Morris vs. Miami (Fla.) in the 1996 national championship game
• 4-for-11 in NCAA Super Regional vs. Kentucky with two homers, four RBI and three runs
• In LSU’s SEC series May 12-14 versus Mississippi State, White batted .571 (8-for-14) with three doubles, one homer, five RBI and three runs … received Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week recognition after the Miss. State series
• Batted .500 (6-for-12) in the Auburn series (May 5-7) with three doubles, two RBI and one run
• 5-for-14 in Alabama series (April 28-30) with two homers, five RBI and five runs scored
• Unloaded a fifth-inning grand slam on April 21 at Ole Miss that erased a 3-2 Rebels’ lead and proved to be the game-winning hit … the blast was White’s third grand slam of the season
• Named SEC Player of the Week on April 17, as he led LSU to three wins in four games, including an SEC series victory over Kentucky … White batted .389 (7-for-18) in four games with four doubles, one homer, 11 RBI and four runs … he hit .385 (5-for-13) in the Kentucky series (April 13-15) with three 2B, one HR, eight RBI and four runs
• Provided the game-winning RBI in all three of LSU’s wins the week of April 11-15 – he delivered a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning at Tulane April 11 to break a 3-3 tie, and LSU went on to an 11-5 win; White’s two-run double in the bottom of the first inning April 13 versus Kentucky gave LSU a lead it never relinquished in a 16-6 victory; White was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning on April 15 vs. UK, breaking a 6-6 tie and lifting LSU to a 7-6 win
• Posted a 15-game hitting streak from February 26-March 21
• Launched two homers, including his second grand slam of the season, and collected eight RBI in LSU’s series win over Arkansas (March 24-25) … in the second game of the March 25 doubleheader, White hit a grand slam and a three-run homer, accumulating seven RBI in the contest
• Voted SEC Player of the Week on March 20 after he batted .474 (9-for-19) in LSU’s four games from March 14-19 and helped lead the Tigers to an SEC series victory at No. 11 Texas A&M … White collected one double, one homer, 11 RBI and seven runs in the Tigers’ four games versus New Orleans and Texas A&M … in LSU’s series victory at Texas A&M, White hit .500 (7-for-14) with one double, seven RBI and four runs …. his two-out, bases-loaded two-run single in the fourth inning of Game 2 sparked a six-run rally that allowed the Tigers to erase a 4-0 deficit and go on to post a 12-7 win
• Named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week on March 13 after he batted .438 (7-for-16) in LSU’s five wins March 6-12 with three doubles, three homers, 14 RBI and nine runs … White homered, doubled and collected four RBI in LSU’s win over Lamar on March 8 before posting two doubles, two homers and nine RBI in the Tigers’ three-game sweep of Samford March 10-12 … in the Tigers’ win over Samford on March 12, White launched LSU’s first grand slam of the season
At North Carolina State (2022)
White played the 2022 season at North Carolina State before transferring to LSU … named the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year at NC State, batting .362 with 85 hits, 12 doubles, 27 home runs, 74 RBI and a .757 slugging percentage … turned in six multi-homer games, as he had three homers on May 25 vs. Miami in the ACC Championship pool play game to help send the Pack to the semifinals … had a career-high six RBI on Feb. 18 vs. Evansville and on Feb. 25 vs. Quinnipiac, as well as five RBI on May 25 vs. Miami in the ACC Tournament … finished the season on a 26-game reached base streak … named the Dick Howser Trophy Player of the Month in February after tallying 20 hits, 29 RBI, nine home runs, 18 runs scored and a 1.412 slugging percentage in eight games … named ACC Player of the Week and National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game, DI Baseball and NCBWA after the opening weekend of the ’22 season … also earned Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week honors on Feb. 28 and April 25.
