Milan Stokes
Milan Stokes was named Human Resources Manager in January of 2021. In her role, Stokes focuses on, measures and tracks all diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. She serves as a diversity advocate while monitoring compliance of sexual violence and Title IX education.
Stokes is also responsible for creating an employee onboarding program, a professional development program and a graduate student program. She presents various trainings to staff and contributes to human resources functions in staffing and compensation.
The Long Beach, California native earned her bachelor’s degree in only three years, acquiring a degree in English from LSU in 2019. She then completed her Masters of Leadership and Human Resource Development from LSU in May of 2020.
An accomplished student-athlete in her own right, Stokes was a four-year letter winner for LSU Women’s Volleyball. She was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient, as well as the 2018 Jesse Owens Athletic Award winner. Stokes served as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at LSU, and was one of two LSU representatives selected for the 2019 SEC Career Tour.
