Garrison Floyd Season 2020-21

Garrison Floyd joined the LSU Athletics Department as Video Production Specialist in July of 2021. Floyd is responsible for producing creative content for LSU’s nationally recognized athletics programs and platforms.

Floyd’s primary responsibility is working daily with the LSU men’s basketball team. He’s also a contributor for LSU Gold, the school’s exclusive site for original and behind-the-scenes content.

In his role, Floyd produces a variety of content including television, social media, in-venue video board pieces, mobile app-based content and more. He collaborates with communications, social media, marketing and promotions teams to develop digital storytelling, features and messaging.

Floyd joined LSU after serving as a Student Content Producer, through Crimson Tide Productions, at The University of Alabama. In this role, he created custom social media content in order to drive revenue opportunities, promote the brand of the university, and boost the overall fan experience for the athletics department. This included digital content for the Crimson Tide’s football, baseball, men’s/women’s basketball, volleyball, and softball programs. He also has vast experience in broadcast productions with ESPN and SECNetwork.

Floyd, a native of Tuscaloosa, is a 2021 graduate of The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts Communication. In his free time, Garrison enjoys working out, watching the Toronto Blue Jays, and exploring Baton Rouge. Garrison is married to the former Bailey Smith.
