Dave Haskin enters his 5th year with the LSU Athletics Department and 2nd as Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Broadcast Operations.
Haskin’s responsibilities include identifying new revenue streams through brand strategies and fan development initiatives. He also is responsible for the unit oversight of LSU’s marketing, broadcast operations and spirit squad departments.
Haskin joined the LSU Athletic Department in August of 2018 as the Assistant AD for Marketing. He came to LSU from Drake University, where he worked five years as the Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs. While at Drake, he oversaw athletic communications, creative services, equipment, facilities, marketing, and ticket sales. He was also responsible for all designs, branding and installation of facility graphics and led a $2.5 million project to upgrade video board and audio equipment at Drake Stadium.
Prior to Drake he worked at the University of Oklahoma, first as Assistant Director of Marketing (2004-06) and then as Director of Marketing (2006-13). At Oklahoma, he developed marketing and ticket sales strategies for football and men’s and women’s basketball, while directing all game day presentation elements for those sports.
The member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) graduated from St. Olaf College in 2001 with a degree in history. He also received a master’s degree in sport administration from UW-La Crosse in 2004.
He and his wife, April are the parents of a son, Sam and daughter, Emily.
