Ashleigh Maerke (pronounced mur-key) enters her second season with South Stadium Productions as the Assistant Director of Social Media & Branding, leading the LSU Sports social media account.

Maerke was previously a two-year Graduate Assistant in Athletics Communications and the secondary contact for baseball and football. Prior to that, she served as a student intern for two years while earning her undergraduate degree and leading the social media efforts of a variety of sports.

For four seasons (2020-2023), Maerke led the social media efforts for LSU’s nationally recognized baseball team. She assisted in all media relations and social media strategy, which included the team’s National Championship in 2023, and multiple Regional and Super Regional appearances.

Under her coordination, the LSU Baseball Twitter account became the first and only college baseball team to surpass 1,000,000 followers across all platforms and remains the most followed program in college baseball.

The New Orleans native graduated from LSU with her master’s in Leadership and Human Resource Development in May of 2023 and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology in December of 2020.
