Andrea Tepe began serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services in August of 2026. In her role, Tepe works with Athletics units supporting sport programs to identify and implement centralized systems to enhance student-athlete recruiting, development, and experience. Tepe currently serves on the NCAA Division I Track & Field Rules Committee.
Tepe previously served as the Chief of Staff for LSU Athletics for six years after she worked for seven years as the Director of Operations for the LSU Track & Field program. As Chief of Staff, Tepe managed the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Athletic Director and supported strategic operations for the athletics department. Tepe worked on numerous cross-functional initiatives, including the creation of professional development programming, the implementation of department-wide communication software, and the logistical operations of new head coach introductions, post-season championship travel, and national championship celebrations.
During her tenure as Director of Operations for the LSU track and field program, Tepe was charged with organizing all administrative and logistical aspects of the nation’s most prestigious collegiate program. She was actively involved with the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an instructor for the Track & Field Academy Meet Management course. Tepe also worked on a committee to develop programming for director of operations at the annual USTFCCCA Coaches Convention.
Tepe joined the staff at LSU following a four-year stint as the Director of Track & Field Operations at the University of Akron. In addition to her responsibilities for team travel and home meet management, Tepe acted as the program liaison for sports information and marketing, academics, business, compliance, equipment, facilities and housing.
During her time at Akron of the Mid-American Conference, Tepe served as an assistant administrator for the MAC Indoor Championships in 2012 and MAC Outdoor Championships in 2013, as well as the director of Akron’s inaugural Pole Vault Convention in 2013. She also worked as the meet coordinator at the 2011 Big East Indoor Championships.
Tepe competed for the women’s track and field program at Miami University (Ohio) from 2004-08. She was an NCAA Mideast Regional Qualifier in the 400 hurdles and was a member of Miami’s indoor-school-record 4×400-meter relay team. An active participant in Miami’s community service efforts during her collegiate career, Tepe served as a women’s track and field representative on Miami’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council for two years from 2006-08, and was also an NCAA National Leadership Conference participant in 2007.
Tepe was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2008 and master’s degree in 2009 from Miami University (Ohio). She earned a PhD from LSU in Leadership and Human Resource Development in 2024.
