FRESHMAN SEASON (2002)
Played in 61 games, starting 55 … Named to the NCAA Region 3 All-Tournament Team after recording five hits, including a pair of home runs and a double, and five RBIs in five games … Knocked in the game-winning run in a 3-2, 10-inning win over Northwestern State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament … Named to the SEC All-Tournament Team after recording four hits with a home run and a triple and four RBIs … Knocked in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 2-1 win over Georgia in the second round of the SEC Tournament … Honored as a First-Team All-Louisiana selection at designated player … Led the team and ranked sixth in the SEC in home runs … Second on the team in RBIs, triples and slugging percentage … Came on late in the year, going 17-for-43 (.395) in the last 13 games with five home runs, two doubles, a triple and 15 RBIs for a .837 slugging percentage … Went 4-for-7 with four RBIs and four runs scored against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi … Recorded 14 multiple-hit games and led the team with 13 multiple-RBI games.
