Golfweek All-American Honorable Mention… GCAA PING All-Southeast Region Team… led the Tigers with an LSU record single season stroke average of 69.82 in 34 rounds – became the first Tiger to close a season under 70… recorded 25 rounds of par or better, which ranks top 10 in LSU history for a single season… finished top five twice and top 10 three times during the 2025-26 season… had a T2 outing at the Bryan Bros Collegiate where he went 11-under 202 (66-68-68)… at the NCAA Marana Regional he finished T6 with another 11-under performance, finishing at 205 (69-68-68)… took fourth with seven-under 206 (65-73-68) at the Pauma Valley Invitational… finished T6 at The Hayt with eight-under 208 (67-74-67)… recorded eight tournaments with three-under better in 54 holes… went three-over 291 (75, 73, 68, 75) to finish T46 at the NCAA Championship… closed season at 70 career par-or-better rounds – ties John Peterson for third on the all-time LSU list, needing just six more to tie the LSU record… recorded 18 rounds of under 70… was a 2025 U.S. Amateur Qualifier… moved up in the LSU record book to No. 4 on the all-time career stroke average list with his mark of 71.147 through three seasons… closed the collegiate season at No. 50 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking index, and No. 50 on the Scoreboard/Clippd national-individual rankings.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024-25)
Named All-Southeast Region by the Golf Coaches Association of America after a year in which her stroke average dropped from 72.36 in 2024 to 71.08 in 2025… in 36 rounds, averaged 71.08 strokes per round… 24 rounds under par… two top five finishes… finished third at the Pauma Valley Invitational in California, posting seven-under 206 (68-68-70) and finished T3 in the SEC Championships at nine-under 201 (66-65-70)… 13 rounds in the 60s… ranked 67th in the NCAA Scoreboard rankings, up from 169 on March 12.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2023-24)
Appeared in all 13 tournaments for the Tigers… one of seven players named to the 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team… five-time SEC Freshman of the Week in his first season at LSU… among five players to be named First-Team All-Louisiana by the LSWA after a season that included a 72.36 scoring average over 39 rounds… fired 21 rounds of par or better with a low round of a 67 at the Hal Williams Collegiate, a tournament that Mendell won with a 10-under 203 (67-68-68)… Mendell also finished the Hootie at Bulls Bay T1 with a 6-under 210 (71-68-71) to lead the Tigers to a tournament victory… shot a one-over 217 in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, coming back from an opening 76 to shoot 69-72 at the University Club to help send the Tigers back to the NCAA Championship… 10 rounds in the 60s.

PRIOR TO COLLEGE
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana that attended Ascension Episcopal… won the 2023 Louisiana individual state title after shooting a 12-under par… it was the lowest score in any division in the previous nine years… placed eighth at the Junior Orange Bowl, second at the Pete & Alice Dye Junior tourney and seventh in the Southern Junior… was a qualifier and participant in the United States Junior Amateur Championship and the Western Junior event and in 2021 was a member of the winning twosome in the tournament named after a former LSU and current PGA star, the Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball.
