Competed on vault and bars in her return to the lineup after an achilles injury… Averaged scores of 9.840 on vault, 9.845 on bars, and 9.875 on beam…  Set two new career highs on vault and bars with scores of 9.90 on vault against No. 8 Alabama and a 9.90 on bars against No. 36 Georgia… Her last appearance for the season was against No. 8 Alabama, where she scored a 9.90 on vault, a 9.875 on bars, and a 9.850 on beam… Did not appear the rest of the season due to injury… Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Missed the season after suffering an Achilles injury in Fall 2020.

Consistent performer on vault and bars during her debut season … Scored a 9.95 in her first career performance on beam at Georgia … Also earned a 9.875 in the leadoff spot of vault against the Bulldogs … Posted a 9.825 on bars and 9.85 on beam against Auburn … Put together three strong routines on the road against No. 2 Florida with a career high 9.90 on vault, 9.85 on bars and 9.85 on beam … Recorded a 9.80 on vault and bars against Alabama … Scored a career high 9.90 on bars against Oregon State … Put up a 9.875 and 9.85 on vault and bars at the GymQuarters Invitational … Also scored a 9.85 on vault and 9.825 on bars against Kentucky … In the final meet of the season at TWU, scored a 9.85 on vault and 9.80 on bars.

Attended Detroit Country Day School… Placed second on the all-around at the 2014 J.O. Championships … Placed first on the all-around, vault, and floor exercise at the 2015 J.O. Championships … Placed first on bars and second on vault at the 2016 J.O. Championships … Placed first in the all-around at the 2017 Nastia Liukin Cup… Placed first in the all-around, vault, and uneven bars, third on the floor exercise at the 2017 J.O. Championships … Placed third on the all-around, uneven bars, and Floor Routine at the 2018 J.O. Championships … Placed first on the uneven bars, second on the all-around at the 2019 J.O. Championships.

Full name is Kai Hadiah Rivers… Born November 26, 2000… Parents are Emanuel Rivers and Kandis Kumasi… Has one brother, Khalil Rivers, who played football at Oberlin… Says she chose LSU because she “loved the athletics atmosphere and loved how people cared for [her].” … Plans to major in liberal arts.
