JUNIOR SEASON (2010)
Schwitkis was forced to end her gymnastics career after her sophomore season because of a nagging back injury … Will remain in the gymnastics program but will serve in a student-managerial role.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2009)
Earned the first All-America honors of her career when she became a First Team All-American on vault by scoring a career-high tying 9.90 at the NCAA Championship Prelims (4/16) … Competed in the NCAA Individual Event Finals on vault where she finished 10th with a combined score of 9.6813 (9.7875 first vault, 9.5750 second) … Outstanding on vault all season and competed on vault and bars in every meet … Saw limited action on beam and floor and competed four times in the all-around … Had the most successful meet of her career in the tri-meet against North Carolina and Illinois-Chicago (2/20) when she scored a career-high 39.350 in the all-around and scored a 9.80 on vault, 9.875 on bars, 9.825 on beam and 9.85 on floor … The 9.85 on floor in the tri-meet was a career high … Set a career high on beam with back-to-back 9.85’s against NC State (3/7) and Centenary (3/13) … Had a string of eight meets with at least a 9.825 or higher on bars, including a 9.85 at the SEC Championship (3/21) and NCAA Central Regional (4/4) … Scored less than a 9.80 only once all season on vault as she racked up 14 scores of 9.80 or higher … A superb vaulter, she finished with the third-highest average on the team with a 9.827 in the event … Besides her 39.350 career high in the all-around, she also posted two other marks above 39.000 as she scored a team-leading 39.175 against Arkansas (2/27) and a 39.250 versus NC State (3/7) … Had a high-scoring night at Centenary where she scored a 9.85 on vault, bars and beam … Earned one individual title during the season with a 9.875 on bars against Arkansas … Up to four career individual titles, all on bars.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2008)
Proved to be a solid competitor for the Tigers on the vault and bars this season … Hit all 29 of her competitive routines as a freshman, not scoring below a 9.725 in any event in any outing … Had her best outing against Auburn and West Virginia (2/8), scoring a 9.825 on the vault and a 9.875 on the bars … Matched those exact scores in the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships (4/24) … At the Super Six (4/25), notched a 9.800 on the vault and a 9.850 on the bars … Had a stellar meet at the NCAA Central Regionals, posting a career high 9.900 on the vault and a 9.775 on the bars … Notched a 9.800 on the vault in her only event at the SEC Championships (3/29) … Scored a career-high on the bars in back-to-back meets — against Kentucky (2/1 – 9.850) and against Auburn and West Virginia (2/8 — 9.875), until surpassing her career-high against Michigan State (2/29 – 9.950) … Posted a 9.875 on the vault against Alabama (2/22) … Posted a 9.875 on the vault at N.C. State as well (3/14) … Scored a 9.850 on the vault at the Cancun Classic (1/4) … Matched that score on the vault against Florida (2/15) … Averaged a 9.830 on the vault and a 9.842 on the bars for the season.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL
Coached by Kathy Strate, Tim Garrison and Meredith Paulicivic at SCEGA … A three-time Level 10 national qualifier … She won the bars and finished third on the vault and sixth on the floor at the 2005 national championships … The following year, placed second on the vault and fifth on the floor at the 2006 national meet … Also a two-time state and regional champion that claimed titles in 2005 and 2006 … Attended Scripps Ranch High School.
