FRESHMAN SEASON (2024)
First-year contributor who made an impact on multiple events as a freshman… Appeared in 15 meets for the Tigers in 2024 across the beam, vault and floor lineups… Collected nine individual titles in 2024, including beam titles at both the 2024 SEC Championships (10) and the 2024 NCAA Finals (9.9625)… Crowned beam champion at the SEC Championships in New Orleans… Recorded three perfect 10s on the year, one on bars at the Sprouts Collegiate Classic and two on beam at both the 2024 SEC Championships and at Missouri… Recorded a season and career high floor score of 9.975 versus Arkansas… Named a postseason All-American on bars, beam, and floor for her performance in the NCAA Semifinals… Regular Season All-American on beam… Ranked amongst the top-10 beam performers in the country for multiple weeks… Named to both the 2024 All-SEC Team and the 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team… Finished the year with season high’s of 9.975 on floor and perfect 10’s on bars and beam as only a freshman… Outside the competition floor, earned Scholastic All-American and SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll honors.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL
A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, McClain is a decorated all-around gymnast who has experience on the national and international levels… She has been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2019, where she helped Team USA win silver at the City of Jesolo Trophy competition… Individually, she earned gold in the all-around, gold on vault, bronze on the uneven bars and bronze on floor in that meet… Member of Team USA at the 2021 World Championships and was a part of the national team who took home gold at the City of Jesolo competition in 2022… Last year, McClain was named the 2022 Winter Cup all-around and balance beam champion and earned a bronze medal on floor to earn her spot in the championships… Most recently she climbed her way to the top of the podium at the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in August to earn national champion status… Her combined eight-rotation score (prelims and finals) of 112.750 in the all-around and 28.900 on beam earned her gold at the competition in Tampa, Florida… Trained at Gymcats under Cassie Rice and Jill Preston in Henderson, Nevada, and is ready to bring her gymnastics experience to the collegiate level as she begins her first season as a Tiger.
