CAREER

JUNIOR SEASON (2016)
Started all 12 games at safety earning First Team All-America honors from CBS Sports and Pro Football Focus after recording 76 tackles and 7.5 tackles for losses … Voted as a permanent Team Captain for the LSU defense following the season … Also named a winner along with Tre’Davious White and Kendell Beckwith as the Percy Roberts Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year for the Tigers … Leader of LSU defense that ranked among the best in the nation … LSU finished year allowing only 16 touchdowns in 12 games, the fewest in the nation … LSU also ranked No. 2 in the SEC in scoring defense (15.8) and rushing defense (117.2), No. 3 in total defense (314.0) and No. 4 in pass defense (197.2) … LSU held opponents to only nine passing touchdowns, which ranked as the second-lowest total in the FBS … Against the run, the longest rush LSU allowed all season was 35 yards … Played one the best game of his career in 29-9 win over Louisville in the Citrus Bowl as he had six tackles and was a key reason the Tigers held the Cardinals and Heisman Trophy quarterback Lamar Jackson without a TD for the first time all season … As part of the defense used to contain the Heisman winner, LSU held Jackson to season low of 33 rushing yards and to only 153 passing yards, his second-lowest total of the season … Had a sack, two tackles for loss and five total tackles in win over Texas A&M to close the regular season … Had an interception, six tackles and a tackle for loss against Alabama as the Tigers held the Crimson Tide scoreless for the first three quarters in a 10-0 setback … Posted career-best 13 tackles as LSU limited Auburn to six field goals in an 18-13 loss … Had 11 tackles in win over Southern Miss and added nine tackles in SEC victory over Mississippi State.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015)
Played and started all 12 games at safety for the Tigers … Earned second team All-SEC honors from both the league coaches and the Associated Press … Finished third on team with 67 tackles, including 47 solo stops … Added 5.0 tackles for loss, six pass breakups and four interceptions … Had best statistical game against Western Kentucky with 11 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception in the win over the Hilltoppers … Had seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, recovered a fumble and returned an interception 23 yards against Arkansas … Other interceptions came in wins over Auburn and Eastern Michigan … Had 10 tackles, all solo, against Alabama for the second of his two double-figure tackle games in 2015 … Capped season with seven tackles and a pass breakup in bowl win over Texas Tech.

TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON (2014)
Freshman All-America and member of All-SEC Freshman Team after playing in all 13 games with two starts … First player off the bench in secondary for the Tigers as he was inserted into game as LSU’s fifth defensive back in the nickel package … One of 17 true freshmen to see action for the Tigers in 2014 … Finished season with 66 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and a sack … Broke up five passes … Had best game of season in Music City Bowl against Notre Dame with career-best 10 tackles to go with 2.0 tackles for losses (-5 yards) … Against Notre Dame, had a tackle for a 4-yard loss on 4th-and-1 for the Irish at the LSU 20-yard line that ended a drive … Had eight tackles and a tackle for a 3-yard loss in road win over Texas A&M on Thanksgiving Night in what was his second career start … Had eight tackles, 1.5 tackles for losses and first career sack in win over Kentucky in Tiger Stadium … Registered seven tackles at Auburn … Added five stops versus No. 3 Ole Miss, Sam Houston State and New Mexico State … Tallied three pass breakups in win over Ole Miss … Earned his first career start at safety against No. 4 Alabama (2 tackles) … Named a captain for the ULM game, the first freshman to earn that honor during the Les Miles era … One of LSU’s top performers on special teams, finishing season with 10 tackles.

Parents are Michelle and George Adams … Born Oct. 17, 1995 … Majoring in general business … Dad played football at Kentucky, earning All-SEC honors at running back in 1984 … He was selected in the first round (No. 19 overall) in the 1985 NFL Draft by the New York Giants and was a member of their Super Bowl Championship Team the following year … He still ranks No. 5 in Kentucky history in career rushing yards with 2,648 and his 25 rushing TDs is ties for second in Kentucky history … His dad rushed for 100 yards in Kentucky’s 21-13 win over LSU in Tiger Stadium in 1983 … He finished his NFL career with 886 rushing yards and three rushing TDs … Also caught 111 passes for 1,014 yards and four scores … Spent four years with the Giants (1985-89) and two years with the Patriots (1990-91).
