CAREER
Capped his career as one of the most productive runners in school history with 2,021 yards and 17 touchdowns in 51 games as an LSU Tiger … Capped career ranked eighth in LSU history in 100-yard games with six to his credit … Played in 51 games with 18 starts during his career … Named MVP of the 2003 SEC Championship Game as well as the 2003 BCS National Championship Game (Sugar Bowl) … Rushed for 201 yards as a true freshman against Georgia in the SEC Championship game and then followed that with 117 yards against Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship game … Also earned the reputation as being a special teams standout during his LSU days, playing on the Tigers’ kickoff coverage unit … Had 28 special teams tackles during his four years with the Tigers … Signed a free agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons following the 2007 NFL Draft in April.

SENIOR SEASON (2006)
Played in all 13 games, with six starts, including the Notre Dame contest in the Sugar Bowl … Played best game of season against Notre Dame, rushing for a season-high 71 yards on 12 carries in the 41-14 win over the Irish … Added two receptions for 19 yards in the contest … Went over the 2,000-yard mark for career against Notre Dame … For year, finished with 210 yards on 57 carries … Caught six passes for 73 yards … Had another strong outing vs. Ole Miss, picking up 40 yards on seven carries in the Tigers’ win over Ole Miss … Performance included a season-long 20-yard run …  Had 31 yards on eight carries against Arizona.

JUNIOR SEASON (2005)
Shared the running back duties with senior Joseph Addai … Stepped up late in  the year when Addai was slowed by an ankle injury … Responded by rushing for 343 yards and 5 touchdowns in LSU’s final six regular season games … Led the Tigers in rushing in four of the last five games, including 56 yards and 1 TD in the win over Alabama … Rushed for a season-high 89 yards and 1 score in win over Appalachian State … Also caught 9 passes for 61 yards … Served on LSU’s coverage units on special teams … Had 6 special teams tackles in 2005 … Forced a fumble against Tennessee

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2004)
Played in all 12 games with four starts … Started the first four games of the season at tailback … Rushed for 322 yards and 2 TDs … Caught 5 passes for 40 yards … Rushed for 102 yards and 2 TDs in win over Arkansas State in week two … Capped the regular season with 60 yards on 10 carries in win over Arkansas … Also a special teams standout … Had 9 special teams tackles … Forced a fumble on kickoff coverage against Arkansas State … Had 2 special teams tackles vs. Florida and Arkansas.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2003)
Put together the finest season for a freshman in LSU history, rushing for a freshman school record of 1,001 yards in leading the Tigers to a 13-1 overall mark and the national title … Answered the call when injuries forced Joseph Addai and Shyrone Carey to the sidelines in consecutive games midway through the season … Started for the first time against South Carolina and responded with 77 yards and 2 TDs … Never relinquished the starting position as he followed his first start with 127 yards in a 31-7 win over Auburn in a game in which he out rushed Carnell Williams by 67 yards … Capped the season with four straight 100-yard games, including an SEC Championship game record of 201 yards and 2 TDs in the 34-13 win over Georgia, and 117 yards and 1 TD vs. Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl … In all, rushed for 100-plus yards five times … Named MVP of SEC title game as well as the Sugar Bowl … Ran for an 87-yard TD vs. Georgia, the longest rush in SEC Championship Game history … Also had a 62-yard run vs. Georgia … Opened the Nokia Sugar Bowl with a 64-yard run on the first play of the game against Oklahoma … Rushed for 105 yards on 22 carries vs. Ole Miss and followed that with 112 yards and 2 TDs vs. Arkansas … Broke Dalton Hilliard’s LSU freshmen rushing record, bettering the previous mark of 901, which was set in 1982 … Also rushed for 10 TDs, the second-highest total by a rookie in school history … Hilliard holds that mark with 11 in 1982, while Kendall Cleveland and Rondell Mealey each rushed for 10 TDs as freshmen … Caught 8 passes for 80 yards with four of those coming against South Carolina … Is a rare breed in that he’s also a standout on LSU’s kickoff coverage unit … Had 9 special teams tackles.

One of the nation’s top running back prospects … Named a Parade and Prep Star All-American after rushing for 2,050 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior … Named first-team 5A all-state and was recognized as Louisiana’s Gatorade Player of the Year … Rated as the nation’s No. 3 running back prospect by Rivals.com and No. 14 by Super Prep … Member of the Baton Rouge Advocate Super Dozen, the New Orleans Times-Picayune Blue-Chip Top 15, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution Super Southern 100 and the Dallas Morning News Top 100 … MVP of District 3-5A for the second-straight year and recipient of the Gridiron Great All-Star award … Also named All-Southwest Louisiana and to the U.S. Army All-America team … Left Barbe as the school’s all-time leading rusher with 5,464 yards on a school-record 904 carries … Also set school records for touchdowns in a career (75), rushing touchdowns in a career (68), points in a career (462), and  career 100-yard games (28) … Tied the school records for rushing touchdowns in a game (5 vs. New Iberia on Sept. 27, 2001) and touchdowns in a season (30 in 2001) … Only player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards or more in three seasons … Three-time first-team all-district and twice named first-team all-state … Ran on the state champion 4×200-meter relay team as a junior … Coached in high school by Jimmy Shaver.
