CAREER
Played in 47 games with 20 starts … Started 13 games at strong safety during LSU’s national championship season in 2003 … Originally came to LSU as a wide receiver before moving to the defensive backfield prior to his junior season … Started a total of 19 games on defense during his career … Made one start on offense, that coming in 2000 as a true freshman … Finished career with 131 total tackles and 4 interceptions.

SENIOR SEASON (2003)
The quarterback in the LSU secondary … In second year as a starter in the defensive backfield after moving over the from the offensive side of the football prior to the 2002 season … Played wide receiver as a freshman and sophomore … Played and started in 13 games for the Tigers in 2003 … Sat out the Florida game with a sprained MCL (right knee) … It’s no coincidence that the Florida game was LSU’s worst of the year from a defensive standpoint … Provides leadership and does a good job of managing the game from the safety position … Makes the calls and the checks for the Tiger defensive backs … Finished with 73 tackles and 4 interceptions … Returned an interception 31 yards for a TD vs. Louisiana-Monroe and then had a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown against Louisiana Tech … Also intercepted passes vs. Mississippi State and Georgia in the SEC title game … Returned the interception against Mississippi State to the 1-yard line … Added 3 tackles for losses and broke up 6 passes … Had season-best of 11 tackles in 17-10 win over Georgia in September and then added 10 tackles in victory over Auburn … Combines excellence both on and off the field … Earned 2003 First-Team Academic All-District honors with a 3.2 grade point average in chemistry.

JUNIOR SEASON (2002)
Starter at free safety in LSU’s final five games … Played in all 13 games with six starts … Also started season opener vs. Virginia Tech … Posted a career-high 15 tackles in win over Kentucky … Followed that with seven tackles vs. Alabama and then eight stops in win over Ole Miss … Capped first year on the defensive side of the ball with seven tackles and one PBU against Texas in the Cotton Bowl … Finished with 58 tackles, including 2.5 for losses … Had a pair of sacks and added two quarterback hurries … Had eight pass breakups … Converted wide receiver who played his first season on the defensive side of the football

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2001)
Played in 11 games with no starts … Caught three passes for 37 yards … Caught one pass each against Tulane, Tennessee, and Middle Tennessee … Had a season-long catch of 17 yards vs. Tulane.

TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON (2000)
Played in all 12 games for the Tigers, which included a start against Auburn in a four-wideout set to open the contest … Finished the year with three catches for 32 yards … Caught two passes for 20 yards in collegiate debut vs. Western Carolina in season-opener … Had the biggest catch of his young career against Alabama with a 12-yard reception on a third-and-five situation midway through the fourth quarter that kept alive a Tiger drive to pull LSU to within 21-20 four plays later.
