SENIOR SEASON (2001)
Had senior season cut short with a knee injury against Utah State in the second week of the season … Started against both Tulane and Utah State … In 2 games, recorded 8 tackles and 1 PBU.
JUNIOR SEASON (2000)
Started the Tigers’ final four games, including the Peach Bowl, at right corner … matched his season-high with seven tackles in the Tigers’ last regular-season outing against Arkansas … Had four solo stops in win over Georgia Tech in the Peach Bowl … Broke up a season-high three passes in the Tigers’ victory over Alabama … Finished the season with 30 tackles, including 22 solos … 19 of his tackles came in the Tigers’ final five regular season games … Had a seven-tackle performance including a season-high five solo tackles against Auburn.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999)
A major contributor in the Tigers’ secondary … Played in all but one game, missing the Auburn game due to injury … Started the last five games of the year at left cornerback … Finished the season with 42 tackles, five pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles … In his first career start against Miss. State, he had six tackles and two pass deflections, while holding their primary receivers to two catches … Had a career-high in tackles against Houston with 10 … Tied his personal tackle total again in the season finale against Arkansas in which he made 10 stops, two pass breakups and one interception.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (1998)
Played in all 11 games and started four at right cornerback … Starts came vs. Mississippi State, at Ole Miss, vs. Alabama, at Notre Dame (Games 7-10 of season) … LSU’s seventh-leading tackler and third-leading tackler among defensive backs … Made 49 tackles, including 35 solos … High tackle game of 10 at Ole Miss … Made six tackles each at Auburn, vs. Kentucky … Had five tackles vs. Idaho, and Mississippi State, and at Notre Dame … Broke up a pass in win over Mississippi State … Made his first career start against Mississippi State, replacing Damien Woods … Saw action on 403 defensive plays from scrimmage … Also saw special teams action on kickoff, punt, punt return and PAT/FG block teams … Redshirted as a true freshman in 1997.
HIGH SCHOOL
Ranked No. 7 in Superprep Louisiana 26 … Helped lead Evangel to a perfect 15-0 record in 1996, including the 3A State Championship and the District 1-3A title with 63 receptions for 1,300 yards and 20 touchdowns … Also recorded 60 carries for 500 yards and 8 rushing touchdowns his senior season … Transferred to Evangel after leading Logansport to the 1995 1A State Championship where he caught 5 touchdowns in the Finals … Coached by Dennis Dunn.
