JUNIOR SEASON (1999): Started every game at left cornerback … He finished the season with 46 tackles, including 6 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 interception that he returned 50 yards for a touchdown … Had an all-around game against Auburn with 6 tackles, including 1 tackle for a loss of 2 yards and 1 pass breakup … Enjoyed a solid performance in the season finale against Arkansas with 7 tackles and 3 pass breakups … Finished second on the team with 6 pass breakups.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (1998): The Tigers’ starting left cornerback in the final 6 games of the season, taking over that role in midyear after seeing extensive reserve action in the first half of the season … Played in 10 games in 1998 … Finished season with 26 tackles, including 23 solo stops … Intercepted 1 pass, broke up 5 passes and recovered 1 fumble … High tackle game of 7 in each of the final 2 games of the season, at Notre Dame and at Arkansas … Intercepted pass vs. Idaho … Broke up 2 passes at Florida … Had fine game vs. Mississippi State, making 4 tackles with 1 pass breakup and 1 recovered fumble; picked up a fumble in the third quarter and rumbled 18 yards inside the Bulldogs’ 20-yard line … Earned his first career start against Kentucky and made 2 tackles … Did not play in season opener … 90-yard interception return for TD against Florida was called back due to an offsides penalty against the Tigers … Saw action on 439 defensive plays from scrimmage, 419 of those in the final 7 games of the year … Also played on special teams, seeing action on kickoff, punt and punt return teams.

FRESHMAN SEASON (1997): True freshman played in all 11 games as a reserve defensive back and served as a key player on special teams … Made 12 tackles on the season … High tackle game of 3 against UTEP and Akron … 2 tackles each vs. Auburn, at Alabama … Caught an LSU punt on the fly at the 2 yard line to pin Arkansas deep in its own territory in regular season finale.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Super Southern 100, the Dallas Morning News list of the nation’s top 100 players, The Advocate Super Dozen ’97, the Times-Picayune Top 20 Blue-Chip List, and the Tiger Rag Dirty Dozen … No. 4 in Superprep Louisiana 26 … Top pure cornerback prospect in Louisiana … District 7-4A Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year in ’96 … Sixteenth ranked defensive back in Superprep prior to his senior year … Posted 6 interceptions, 61 tackles, and a fumble recovery during his senior season in which Hammond High went undefeated in the regular season, claiming the District 7-4A title, and advancing to the semi-finals of the Class 4A championship … Also recorded 28 receptions for 430 yards and 5 touchdowns earning all-district honors as a wide receiver his senior year … All-Louisiana Selection … Coached by Carmon Moore.
