2005 Season
Named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2005 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, hitting .647 (11-for-17) with three doubles, one homer and six RBI … Ranked in the SEC’s top 10 in six different offensive categories, including fifth in batting average (.370), sixth in slugging percentage (.677), sixth in RBI (65), third in doubles (23), fifth in homers (18) and fourth in total bases (174) … Led the squad in multi-hit games (33) and multi-RBI games (18); batted a team-best .413 (33-for-80) with runners in scoring position … Had at least one base hit in 27 of his last 29 games; longest hitting streak of the season was a 13-game stretch from April 24 to May 21 … Collected five RBI, scored four runs and homered twice in the Tennessee series (5/13-15); belted a first-inning solo homer off of Luke Hochevar, the SEC Pitcher of the Year, in the series opener on May 13 … Batted .500 (7-for-14) at Vanderbilt (4/30-5/1) with three runs, four RBI, two doubles and two homers.

Appeared in 59 games (58 starts) as the Tigers’ designated hitter, batting .323 (75-for-232) with 17 doubles, one triple, eight homers, 42 RBI and 46 runs … hit .346 (37-for-107) in SEC regular-season games with eight doubles, five homers, 22 RBI and 22 runs … voted to the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional all-tournament team, batting .286 (4-for-14) with three doubles one RBI and three runs … tied LSU single-game record with the three 2Bs in Regional game vs. Southern Miss (June 5) … helped lead LSU to a doubleheader sweep of Alabama (May 2), as he was 3-for-7 with one double and three RBI; produced a game-winning single in the bottom of the eighth inning (scheduled seven-inning game) of Game 1 vs. Bama … named Louisiana Player of the Week on May 11 after leading LSU to a series win at Kentucky (May 7-9); batted .583 (7-for-12) in the UK series with one double, one homer, four RBI and four runs … 3-for-5 with two doubles, one triple, five RBI and three runs at Southern (April 20) … homered in consecutive games at Ole Miss (May 21-22) … first career LSU homer at Central Florida (Feb. 13), a solo blast in his first game in a Tiger uniform.

Junior College
Played two seasons at San Jacinto Junior College in Houston where he recorded 37 career home runs and 132 RBI … a two-time JUCO all-American, all-conference and all-region selection … sparked San Jacinto to a 2003 JUCO World Series championship game appearance, batting .333 with a tournament-high four homers and 21 total bases … member of the 2003 JUCO World Series all-tournament team … in just 34 games, hit .391 with 47 hits, 13 homers and 45 RBI in 120 at-bats as a sophomore … led the Gators to a third-place finish at the 2002 JUCO World Series, batting .377 with 21 doubles, 24 homers and 16 stolen bases … honored with the 2002 JUCO World Series Big Stick award for his efforts … participated in the 2002 JUCO all-star game.
