BATON ROUGE– Five former Tigers took the NBA Summer League stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, all throughout Sunday.
Skylar Mays and the Atlanta Hawks took the court first where they faced the Boston Celtics. The Baton Rouge native started for the Hawks and dropped in 14 points. He added on an assist and a steal in his 30 minutes of action. The Celtics defeated the Hawks 85-83.
The Portland Trail Blazers featured two former Tigers in Antonio Blakeney and Trendon Watford. Antonio Blakeney was the star of the association on Sunday, putting up 27 points in 18 minutes. Blakeney shot 9/10 from the field and went a perfect 7/7 from the line.

Watford made his NBA Summer League debut and clocked in 18 minutes, putting up four points, four rebounds, and an assist and a steal. The Blazers defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 93-86.
Javonte Smart made his Miami Heat debut in early August during the California Classic. Smart was the first guard off the bench tonight and played 20 minutes. Smart had an all-around stat line, putting up 11 points, four boards, two assists, and a steal. He led the team in plus/minus with a +18. The Heat defeated the Denver Nuggets, 97-77.
Emmitt Williams did not play, but the OKC Thunder defeated the Detroit Pistons, 76-72.
Monday’s lineup features the 27th overall pick, Cameron Thomas, and the Brooklyn Nets taking on the Memphis Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Jarell Martin and the Utah Jazz will face the Phoenix Suns at 8:00 p.m. CT on NBATV.
LSU has eight former players on an NBA Summer League roster which lands them at second in the SEC.
