BATON ROUGE – LSU will once again unveil and promote its 2017 football signees on billboards in areas across Louisiana and other key cities in the region to celebrate National Signing Day, which takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
In all, LSU football will have a presence on 25 billboards in six cities, including eight in the Baton Rouge area and five in New Orleans. LSU football billboards will also be located in Monroe (3 locations); Houston (4 locations); Nashville, Tenn. (3 locations); and Mobile/Spanish Fort, Ala. (2 locations).
The 25 billboards is up from last year’s number of 16 that ran in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Monroe.
This year’s version of LSU’s signing day billboard says, “Welcome to Death Valley” and displays the name, head shot, hometown, high school and home state for each player that signs with the Tigers.
Electronic billboards for LSU’s six early enrollees are currently on display in all six cities.
Fans are asked to take part of LSU’s signing day activities through social media by tagging tweets or Instagram posts with #LSUND17.
