BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 32 LSU men’s tennis team (6-2), on a five match win streak, travels to New Orleans, Wednesday to face an instate opponent in No. 35 Tulane (7-3) at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.
“This is their best team in the last 15-20 years with the No.1 player in the country who plays court one for them,” Head Coach Jeff Brown said. “It’s going to be a great challenge and should be a fun match. We are looking forward to it.”
The LSU men’s tennis team is coming off two solid wins at home over Stetson and Lamar. LSU only dropped one court between the two matches, seeing some big victories from Boris Arias, Tam Trinh and newcomer Nikola Samardzic.
In last year’s match-up in Baton Rouge, the Tigers pulled a 4-3 win over the Green Wave headed by Jordan Daigle on court one. Tulane’s head coach Mark Booras is 0-4 against the Tigers for his career at Tulane.
The Green Wave is coming off a 6-1 win over conference opponent UCF on their home courts in New Orleans.
The match will be played at 1 p.m. as opposed to the original 5 p.m. start time.
