CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – LSU senior golfer Elise Bradley and freshman Kathleen Gallagher continued their strong play and remain in the top 10 after 36 holes of the Ruth’s Chris Lady Tar Heel event at the UNC Finley Golf Course.
Bradley posted a 1-over 73 in the second round of the event and is in a tie for fourth at 1-over 145 (72-73), while Gallagher is in a group tied for 10th at 2-over 146 after a second round of 74 (72-74).
Bradley had three birdies in the second round and Gallagher posted one birdie.
LSU posted a 303 in the second right to go with a 302 in the opening round to stand at 605, 29-over par and in 11th place entering Sunday’s final round.
LSU also counted 78s from sophomore Claudia DeAntonio and senior Nadine Dreher. The Tigers had to count all four playing scores as junior Caroline Nistrup was again out of the lineup because of a minor wrist injury.
Playing as an individual, LSU sophomore Sydney Cavin posted a 3-over 75.
Through two rounds, Bradley has seven birdies, tied for fourth in the tournament. Cavin is -2 for the tournament through 36 holes on the par 3 holes, while Gallagher is event through 36 holes on the par 4 holes. Bradley is 2-under on par 5 holes.
