BATON ROUGE – On day four of the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational, the LSU Men’s Tennis team competed in doubles action as they continue to get the new year off to a good start.
The Tigers are using this invitational as an opportunity to make key adjustments and experiment with different doubles combinations ahead of the team’s first dual match against Lamar in Baton Rouge on Jan. 18. Saturday’s action saw three teams bring home victories including the teams of senior Chris Simpson and junior Tam Trinh, junior Andrew Korinek and freshman Simon Freund and sophomore John Michael Busch and junior Harrison Kennedy.
“We have been able to make some adjustments with teams and the team has benefited from this week,” said head coach Jeff Brown. “We want to finish strong tomorrow and get some momentum going into our first match.”
The Tigers will wrap up play at the FGCU Invitational tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
