Bradley Wins Second Louisiana Amateur Golf Title

Bradley Leads Lady Tigers on Final Day at Schooner

NORMAN, Okla. – LSU posted a 5-over 285 round on the final day of the Schooner Fall Classic at the Belmar Golf Club and finished 11th in the 17-team field in the 54-hole tournament that concluded Monday.

Elise Bradley, the junior from Mandeville, had another good tournament finishing the tournament at 1-under par 209 on the par 70 layout with rounds of 70-70-69. She finished in a tie for 12th in the individual competition which was captured by Mississippi State’s Ally McDonald at 13-under par 197 (67-67-63).

Junior Caroline Nistrup of Denmark was also under par on the day with a 2-under 68 and finished at 2-over 212 (69-75-68) and a tie for 24th place. Defending champion Madelene Sagstrom had a 5-over 75 on the final day to finish at 3-over 213 (T30) and Carly Goldstein was LSU’s final counting score on the afternoon with a 3-over 73 to finish at 222 (76-73-73).

Mississippi State won the event with a 22-under par score of 818 after rounds of 277, 273 and 268, 18 shots ahead of Arkansas at 4-under 836. Texas A&M was third at 2-under 838.

LSU had rounds of 283-288-285 and finished at 16-over par 856.

“It was frustrating out there at times for the girls,” said LSU Coach Karen Bahnsen. “But that’s golf. We hit it good but could not get any putts to fall for us.”

The Lady Tigers were scheduled to come back to Baton Rouge on Monday night and will leave on Wednesday for the Lady Tar Heel Classic that is set to begin on Friday at the UNC Finley Golf Course. That tournament will run through Friday.
