Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Play in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The LSU Men’s Tennis team finished their weekend in College Station on Sunday afternoon as they scored several victories in both singles and doubles play at the 2014 Conference Challenge at the Mitchell Tennis Center. Sunday’s action included one round each of doubles and singles play.

On the doubles side the Tigers collected two victories as the teams of junior Boris Arias and freshman Simon Freund and junior Harrison Kennedy and sophomore John Michael Busch both beat their opponents. Busch and Kennedy enjoyed a particularly successful weekend as they went 3-0 in doubles matches.

The Tigers added two more victories in singles action on Sunday as both Arias and sophomore Eric Perez won in straight sets. Head coach Jeff Brown was pleased with his team’s performance and is hoping they can use it to build momentum as they get closer to the spring season.

“We wrapped up play today and it will go a long way in preparing us for the season ahead,” Brown said. “We had some good individual performances this weekend.”
