Hey Tiger fans,

The end of the school year and the end of our season is quickly approaching. We have had our up’s and our down’s as a team on and off the field, but we are looking forward to continuing our strong play. We’ve won 20 of our last 23 games!

As we say goodbye to one of the best coaches that has ever walked LSU’s campus, we also say goodbye to three of our seniors: Jessica Mouse, Ashley Applegate, and Tiffany Shaw. I will truly miss this wonderful group of young ladies.

Jessica Mouse is one of the best infielders I have ever had the pleasure of playing with. Her leadership and guidance is something I will forever cherish. Not only is she a great person and athlete, but she is also a great role model in the classroom.

Ashley Applegate has a truly positive attitude about everything. She always strives to see the best in everyone and every situation. Her bubbly personality is extremely contagious.

Tiffany Shaw is always on top of things, whether it be clothing options, the weather or changes in the practice schedule. She is constantly reminding us of things, giving us do’s and don’t’s, and provides us with random, yet very entertaining facts about anything and everything.

I will do my best to honor Coach Girouard with the following words and personal thoughts. Coach Girouard has made a huge, incomprehensible impact on my life. She knows exactly what to say to motivate me to do my best. Also, she has taught me to become a better person. I have grown up and matured so much these last two years, and I owe it all to her. She has helped me with my knowledge of the game and has made the game fun for me. She brings heart and passion to our team. She believes in us 100 percent, and I am confident that her legacy here at LSU will never be forgotten. I am truly honored to be able to say I played for her for two full years of my college career.

Now…we need YOU to help us honor our seniors and Coach Girouard this weekend. We will honor our seniors during and after Friday night’s game. First pitch is at 6 p.m. which gives you just enough time to come over after work! Sunday’s game has been dedicated to honoring Coach G. Please be sure to stay for the postgame ceremony at which the team and LSU will honor Coach with some pretty spiffy gifts!

Look forward to seeing everyone at Tiger Park this weekend!

Geaux Tigers,
