BATON ROUGE — The College Sports Information Directors Association of America has voted the LSU women’s golf media guide for 2008-09 the fifth best in its annual contest involving Division I schools in the sport of women’s golf.
This marks the third consecutive year the guide, edited by senior associate sports information director Kent Lowe and graphic design coordinator Krystal Bennett of the LSU publications office, has been chosen either fourth or fifth by CoSIDA. Former LSU women’s golfer, now Ole Miss assistant coach, Alexis Rather, also was involved in some of the editorial work on the guide during her summer internship in the sports information office.
Among the judges’ comments for the guide were: “A very nice book. Very complete and lots of extras.” “Awesome book. Kudos for all the extras on the LSU amenities.”
The awards for the publications contests will be presented at CoSIDA’s annual convention this year in San Antonio in June.
