BATON ROUGE — LSU basketball player Garrett Temple and his family will be one of the features this afternoon on the SEC-TV broadcast on FSN at 5:30 p.m. CST.
The broadcast airs in Baton Rouge on Cox Cable Channel 38 on FSN Southwest. The show also airs on Fox Sports South at 5:30 p.m. CST and Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. CST on SportsSouth.
SEC-TV reporter Courtney Jones was here during the Centennial Weekend celebration to visit with Collis Temple, Jr., who in 1971 broke the color barrier at LSU, becoming the first African-American basketball player at the school. The feature talks about Temple’s career and the careers of two of his sons at LSU ? Collis III and Garrett, who followed in his footsteps.
Dave Neal and Natalie Taylor co-host the broadcast.
LSU returns to action on Tuesday night in the Maravich Center against Florida. Tickets are available for only $5 for the Tigers’ Mardi Gras Madness night.
