FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — LSU’s 200-free relay team of Miko Malberg, Hannes Heyl, Christoph Lubenau and Brandon Selts earned honorable mention All-American honors and broke a school record Thursday afternoon on the first day of the 2008 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
The Tiger relay team finished one spot shy of earning first-team All-American honors as it placed ninth in the preliminaries with a time 1:18.46. The LSU team broke the previous school record (1:18:85) that they set at the Southeastern Conference Championships.
